[QUOTE="Hulkness"]Bgrngod you know GeoW look just as good in game but Zelda deffinetly doesent look like that thats some bad fanboyism.Bgrngod
That'd make sense if one of those pics was from Zelda.
I think all of them are in game except the Gears of War pic. But the pic is from a cutscene which uses the ingame engine.[QUOTE="Bgrngod"][QUOTE="Hulkness"]Bgrngod you know GeoW look just as good in game but Zelda deffinetly doesent look like that thats some bad fanboyism.yellowandmushy

But the pic is from a cutscene which uses the ingame engine.In-engine cutscenes will often load higher resolution textures and higher polygon character models then what is used during gameplay. This lets them provide a better looking cutscene while not needing to do a pre-rendered FMV.

You said the one that is ingame though. But there are three of them that are in game.[QUOTE="Hulkness"]Bgrngod you know GeoW look just as good in game but Zelda deffinetly doesent look like that thats some bad fanboyism.Bgrngod

O my bad dude I thought that was the wolf from Zelda TP but I guess I just looked way to fast.

In-game and In-engine are different. In-game means gameplay images, and In-engine means any image created by the game engine. I'm more concerned about what a game will look like while I am playing it vs. what it will look like during the brief cutscenes since I will be spending a lot more time looking at it during gameplay.

I'll consider forgiving you for that error tomorrow. Maybe. :P

I know. But I chose at least three ingame pictures. You said you pick the one that is ingame. So which of the three do you pick?my order, best til worst: 2nd, 4th, 1st, 3rdakif22
I have to somewhat agree who you but a tweak a little 4th 2nd 1st 3rd. Screw photorealism I prefer an anime artstyle. We should get a game that looks like Appleseed, but Tales of Vesperia and Eternal Sonata are very well done.

The GeoW and SotC shots are for sure not in-game. The Crysis and Okami shots are at least close to in-game. Crysis, for me however, looked nothing like that.
I'd take Okami over the rest.

lol thats exactly what i was thinking
(and im assuming that were talking about graphics...not the actual games).....gah u put SOTC against Crysis.....and thats a really tough decision. there both stunning games. crysis would probably edge it in my book because it is artistically and technically an absolute pleasure to look at. both stunners though.
as for the second 2, okami all the way. to be honest, okami beats all of them imho. gears is a great looking game but nothing stands in the way of okami in the eye candy department imho. great game too.
really shows ya what a dev can do when they take a risk and think outside the box...a PS2 game, imho at least, looks better than practically everything released since from an artistic perspective.
Technically:
1. Crysis
2. Gears of War
3. Okami
4. Shadow of the Colussus
Artistically:
1. Okami
2. Shadow of the Colussus
3. Gears of War
4. Crysis (It's kind of impossible to have art stile in a game that looks almost like real life though)

I agree I prefer Eternal Sonata and Tales of Vesperia over them all. With those games we should be getting something like Appleseed soon I hope. Anime look > Realism to me.
