REALLY? Announced before a 360 or PS3 version? REALLY??
My Wii am no longer for sale. At least not until they announce it on another platform too.

you were? earlier today? must have been some fake Dreams-Visions running around :DI was talking about you early wih about this very same thing.... lol
I was waiting for what you were going to say about it... ;)
Who knows it could be Wii only......

I suspect neither the Wii nor Wii games are regionless, so considering all the licensing issues involved (not to mention a number of Tatsunoko characters yet to grace stateside), I doubt such a game will jump the puddle.HuusAskingPS3 games are region-free. That's why we're all hoping it hits the PS3. other than the obvious graphical gains.
So, this is the spiritual successor of Marves VS Capcom? If so, sold!loco145Don't know. Marvel wants to make another MvC game.
So, this is the spiritual successor of Marves VS Capcom? If so, sold!loco145More like a spinoff, much like SNK vs. Capcom is a spinoff of the original concept.
I still think you should sell your Wii :)
And yeah, I posted this early last night. Very exciting news. I'm pretty sure it won't stay exclusive on the Wii, but if Capcom decides to never release it outside of Japan, then it very well might stay on there. All I know is that I'm going to be importing this baby. I'll figure out later how to play it if the freeloader no longer works.
Capcom may have no choice but to leave it in Japan. Many Tatsunoko characters in the 40-plus years the characters span have been licensed to various US firms--others are unlicensed and would probably need some kind of agreement before coming over. IOW, trying to get the same stateside would involve too much legal mumbo-jumbo.I still think you should sell your Wii :)

[QUOTE="Zhengi"]why?Because the game is unlikely to come stateside and unless your Wii is Japanese, it may be tricky to import.I still think you should sell your Wii :)

Hopefully they just use the gamepad, and not the wiimote.. Alot of ports or genres that wasn't adapted to the Wii, sucked ass on the wii mote.. The biggest example of this Marvel Ultimate Alliance.. Why couldn't they have just used gamepads?sSubZerOo
Hori arcade stick. Nuff said :)
[QUOTE="HuusAsking"][QUOTE="Dreams-Visions"][QUOTE="Zhengi"]why?Because the game is unlikely to come stateside and unless your Wii is Japanese, it may be tricky to import.Capcom is saying that they are "working on it".Hmm...does anyone have a list of the Tatsunoko characters that are supposed to be in the game? I could then tell you who Capcom would need to talk to in the US to get the appropriate signatures.I still think you should sell your Wii :)

I'm just giving you positive reinforcement since you felt so strongly about it :)
funny guy. Wii's library still sucks. However, if this system is the only one the game comes out on, I'll hang onto it longer. after all, the complaint is about a dreadful lack of consistency in software flow to the consumer, relative to the competiton.as such, it's obvious that an improvement in said pipeline would change my opinion, as I don't have anything against the Wii except...well...the most important thing to have against any game system: the games.
I'll be able to play this game, import or not. the question is whether it'll be good. if not, the Wii will be sold.

except that it's the cheap-o line of Hori sticks. it's for when you don't care about quality. I had the DoA4 version of that stick. was teh suck. upgraded to a HRAP (their "pro" line). difference was like going from a MadCatz controller to a 1st party controller.only buy these if you're looking to be really casual and just get your feet wet. but you'll probably play it much less than you'll continue using your controller.

oh, so that means you also see an unimpressive future for Wii software? Quite the revelation. cool.except that it's the cheap-o line of Hori sticks. it's for when you don't care about quality. While the HRAP is superior to the Hori EX models it isn't by any means a bad stick at all man. If you don't care about quality??? My IL Euro with Happs Competition Push Buttons > Then HRAP 3 anyways 8)
Forget this.
Marvel Vs Capcom 3? Anyone? Anyone???
hayato_
To tell you the truth I got sick of MvC2.. Hopefully they fix the huge balance issues the second one had.. There is a problem when you see the competitve tournament players play the same combinations out of 6 characters when there is some 50+ characters in all..
I'm so down. Marvel wants to make a new MvC. expect it state-side.Forget this.

Don't bother. The gameplayin Tatsunoko vs Capcom is based on MvC. If you're not gonna like this then you won't like MvC. Play the game for the game. Not for the characters. Gameplay is always the most important.

since it's not coming to the US, most US gamers have only MvC3 to hope in.and like I said, Marvel wants to do it. :D

Nope, I disagree alittle. Playing as some of your favorite Marvel/Capcom characters is still the reason I own Marvel Vs Capcom II to this day (DC version) and still play it. Gameplay was choatic and fun for me and my pals. I would say I enjoyed the first one more than the second. Man I had some good times. The only thing that I didn't like about it was the influx of Street ighter characters that were added in the installment. I wanted more Rival School chacters like Batsu, Hayato,Kyosuke, Hinata etc.
Bring back MvC and throw in some more gaameplay modes and elements and i'll pass on this one.

You're playing brands over playing the actual game.

Actually, Capcom said that the game has a chance of coming to the US

You think Capcom already has a plan to bring it here if not just to make more money.
I guess we will see

But there's going to be licensing issues, without a doubt. If I knew the list of Tatsunoko characters to be featured in the game, I could tell you who would need to be contacted. For example, Casshan is in the roster, which means probably having to contact ADV Films, who I think holds the current US license on the property. As I said, there's going to be red tape. But there's going to be licensing issues, without a doubt. I wonder if they will just take some out or put a replacement in the person place. They have done something like that before with the some ROBO games on the GBA.

Maybe. I think the list of currently-unlicensed characters (like Yatterman) is pretty significant. Those could be dealt with in a one-time deal and could therefore make the jump.[QUOTE="Zhengi"]oh, so that means you also see an unimpressive future for Wii software? Let's not get too ahead of ourselves :) I just support gamers who want to game because of the games, not because of the ratings that the game gets. If you don't like the games, then I support your decision to sell, nothing more :)
