TCHBO: 'PSN May Not Always Be Free'

Sometimes it is hard to find a reason behind the things that Sony says to the press. This is one of those times. Geoff Keighley, speaking to GameTrailers in the latest installment of their "Bonus Round" feature, stated that besides price, Xbox Live did not offer much more or less than PSN. Then, Eric Lempel, director of PlayStation Network operations (who was also present), felt the need to add that Sony's PSN may not always be free. The first Sony exec basically says that PSN's only real difference over Xbox Live is price, which to be honest, is half-true at best. Then the second Sony exec totally negates that statement. We are stumped here, folks. We will let you all argue this one out, for we have said all we wish to.

TCHBO is illegal on SW now...

Way to misquote this guy really badly. He statedt that our model for psn is to keep it free, and that the fans want it. But who knows PSN may not always be free.

Advice: Don't claim ownage on something that isn't official.

I think its using TCHBO as a single statement and nothing else is frowned apon, the phrase itself is ok.

TCHBO = The cows have been owned, its been a very common phrase over the last 6 months :D

It's not banned... if you read the stickies you'll see it's banned only if used all by itself. This was brought about because people began spamming threads with nothing but TCHBO, TSHBO, THHBO, or TLHBO. Using it in context (like this thread) isn't a problem at all. ;)

No they are not right maybe in the future. If PSN is going to beat XBL I believe Sony is going to need to charge for Online gaming. Home might still be free but they are going to need massive servers to allow Peer-to-peer gaming.
