Itagaki was a fan of beautiful women and pushed for that angle which he stated in various interviews over the years, so this isn't surprising at all with the new Team Ninja.

In fact, I expected it when I saw Itagaki left Tecmo. In fact, before he left, there was a huge sexual harrassment fiasco involving a female employee at Tecmo claiming Itagaki made sexual advances, and he did admit to doing some questionable things.

Either way, that's over now, but it would be hilarious if they did a 180 considering their past.

Oh well, heaven forbid they will have to rely on gameplay...:P

That's sort of like Square suddenly up and abandoning the Final Fantasy franchise.

How could they even consider it, especially for the shameless DOA series? :P

Tecmo at one time treasured him, but over time it seems they were looking to get rid of him for whatever reason and fired him. In this case, the dispute was over money. What really was going on behind the scenes those last few years at TECMO, and why they turned on their golden child remains a bit of a mystery at this point. I do know when Management wants you gone, they will get rid of you one way or another, even on unrelated charges.

Not much to say at this point. Team Ninja and Namco just need to prove themselves at this point I guess. Not saying Itagaki and the former employee he pulled with him were every bit of talent they had but nothing they've done after his departure seems to have struck a chord. The only good thing to come of this for them I guess is being more open to making games on Sony and Nintendo platforms, which just may be enough, for a while.

Less sex? ..... Sure.

Less violence? ...... What now?

Lets see if Team Ninja is capable of producing anything that comes close to NG(B) without Itagaki.

If the footage from NG3 is an indication of the new Team Ninja then I'll pass.

I'm all for substance but their bread and butter is violence and sex. I can see them limiting sex but not the violence.

Im just wondering how there gonna sell DoA, the fighting in that gamewas always awful, dot see how it could make it without the boobs.

I should be mad... but Team Ninja has been dead to me for a while now. :/

What is the point ? I want them to up their attention to gameplay just like they do to sex and violence ... that will do the trick.

Oh good, if there is one thing the hack and slash and beat em up genres need its definitely less violence...

Honestly, Ninja Gaiden was starting to get too stupid with the sex appeal.

When I play a Ninja Gaiden game I expect to play as Ryu (and only Ryu!) and go destroy everything that moves. That's all I want. Sure Itagaki brought about the ridiculously proportioned, tasteless by design women into the series, but at least they were just in the back ground for the most part.

Then Hyashi had to go make these dumb bimbos playable which invited all types of weird, low life, Hentai loving mother ****ers into our fanbase. Ninja Gaiden forums went from being a cool place to post to being a place over-run by weeaboos with blue balls.

I don't have a problem playing as female characters, but when those characters end up being nothing more than a caricature of a 13 year old boys fantasy, aka boobs on a stick, then I cant exactly get into the game. And again, Ninja Gaiden = Ryu Hyabusa. Not Ayane, Not Momiji and sure as f*ck not Rachel.

As for the violence? I don't really care. Ninja Gaiden can be fun without being a blood bath. The NES games were fine and NGO/NGB/NGS were violent, but not to the extent of NG2. Which is fine. Nothing against geysers of blood, but I don't need it to enjoy the game.

I dont really give a damn what they do with there other games though.

I cant stand Hyashi. Everything hes done with Ninja Gaiden to date has been a step backwards. He takes Itagakis games, tries to improve them, but ends up making them worse.

And I hate the direction that NG3 is taking.

Even with that said, NG3 still looks better than most hack and slash games out there. Bad by NG standards, sure, but still pretty damn good considering the genre. People fap about the GoW series all the time even though not one of the games comes even close to being as good as the worst NG game.

New changes we will see in the next NG3 trailer: Ryu's sword to be replaced with a stick and all the ninja enemies replaced with pinatas and all the blood replaced with rainbows and candy.

Eh.. read my post above for more details, but in short Hyashi is the one that flooded NG with that nonsense, not Itagaki. I cant speak for their other games, but NG has only been worse about it when Itagaki isn't behind the wheel.

NG2 was good but wasint better then NG and itagaki was behind the wheel. I also enjoyed the addition of ayane&momiji as playable charaters. However didint like playing as rachel.
