Nah, not here to do a comparison. I'm just wondering how different these versions are. Never got to play the Vita one, but I got Unfolded, and have been playing it for a bit. It's goddamn adorable.

Did they add stuff? Obviously, there's graphical differences like 1080P/60FPS, but gameplay-wise, much changed?

Outdated though. Got a crown now.

@freedomfreak: No clue... I own the vita version and love it. If it wasn't for owning that and all the other games like mgs5 and such I would of picked that up too.... but alas I will wait for a price drop...

Don't have the PS4 version, but the Vita version was a gem! Very charming game :)

I don't own either version, but from what i understand, the lion's share of the changes are simply control and mechanics changes to accommodate no rear touch screen and potential lack of camera etc.

The game really is adorable but for some reason i couldn't get into it on vita

The game is one of the least cynical, most fun, and downright unique games I've ever played on Vita. It's legitimately my favorite 3D platformer since Galaxy 2.

Unfolded genuinely looks great, and looks like Media Molecule put a bunch of effort into the transition. But ultimately the game is not only a gem on the Vita but vital to it. It expects you to treat the game as not just a world on your screen, but actually in it, and then gives you the tools by using the Vita's gimmicks to create that intimate connection.

The gameplay changes in Unfolded really come down to using the Touchpad and light bar to control a lot of features that the touch screen and back touch pad did on the Vita, which were some of my favorite control methods in the original. There are more levels in Unfolded which is awesome, since yay more Tearaway, although apparently this leads to pacing issues towards the end.

And yeah, the combat blows no matter which platform you're on. Part of lolplatformercombat. I can say that it's worth taking a shot at the Vita version down the line if you don't have a camera, since the front facing one was essential for the original version. I'll actually try Unfolded and get back to you.

@_Matt_: eh, try it again. Game is a short one and a fun trip. It gets really weird later on and is worth the shot. The woman in the house loves it on Vita :P

50% new content not available in the Vita.

And they changed the controls for the PS4 version evidently.

Ah, more content. Good, unless the pacing gets a bit weird like blab said. Still, if it keeps the charm up, I won't be complaining much. Reminds me of Puppeteer.

what has that to do with the quality of the game? Where you this distasteful when wonderful 101 bombed as well? *sigh*

anyway on topic:

The vita version is also my favorite 3D platformer since Galaxy 2, dont know about the ps4 vesrion yet, but the vita version feels like they were meant for each other

Whenever anyone brings up this game I keep thinking of... Game devs need to think of new names for games.

Yep, new content and moves.

Tearaway Unfolded is a game the the award winning Media Molecule calls a "reimagining" rather than a remake or a port.

They added stuff (anyone that beat the Vita version understands why) which means that although I enjoyed the shit out of the funtastic Vita game back in 2013, I will consider buying this PS4 port with new stuff when it's at the $20 mark.

If I never played the Vita version, I would have bought this gem of a game yesterday.

I have both versions. I haven't played much of the ps4 version yet but so far the pacing "issues" seem overblown.

yeah I can see why the demo may repell you, its bland because you can't even jump. The Demo just ends where you get the ability to jump. The full game is fantastic and I highly recommend it to you.

The demo is also the tutorial level and its just showcases vita specific controls.

Havn't bothered to look up videos... but how can this game exist without the whole "fingers" idea? that game was designed as a tech demo to show off the vita.... can't imagine it having the same charm on the PS4.

As an actually game is was very simplistic... hardly something I would bother rebuying.
