If you read the thread, I posted a like to March 07 statistics that said XB outsold GC by a bit over 3 million at that date. If you're willing to extrapolate that GC didn't sell 3 million consoles between March and August, then XB has still outsold GC.

sony and microsoft sold their systems at a loss. i don't think sonys gaming division has even broke even yet. they made their money from games and accessories.

games and accessories are part of the gaming division :|. Anyways, PS2 turn profit after a year. They actuall start selling the PS2 at a plus with the PS2 slim version. There is a reason why they called Sony the "Market Leaders".

The gamecube just lacked multiplats, a lot of great multiplats came out on ps2 and xbox.

The controller lacked buttons also, bad thumbsticks. I loved my gamecube at first but then I realised how much it was bad compared to the others.

I get the feeling the TC was trying to make a clever joke, implying that the Wii is basically a Gamecube with a fancy controller. Hence, that the GC had outsold the Xbox.

Of course, this is only the case if my English-Fanboy dictionary's fully up to date and I implied correctly
