it looks like pretty much every other fighter. kingsfan_0333
All fighters have different engines. Tekken is the best imo but Soul Calibur is close since it's different to the others with use of weapons.

uh...ok, exactly what about that video shows that it has something that other fighters don't already offer?

It's more technical and less flashy. Which is a good thing.

Anyone notice that after Bungie had Alpha and then Beta on their screenshots, and then ofcourse the succesfull mp beta of H3 every other company has started to refer to unfinished games as betas? rzepak
ya...I noticed that to.

Naturally they noticed the inpenetrable immunity that granted Halo 3 among the minions. The hope of improvement, no matter how small is still there. I would suppose. Shame it doesn't work with other games though, amirite?
Anyway, at least no one else makes us sit through painfully boring pre-alpha then alpha then gamma then beta footage.
By the way, Beta is a stage through game development. Bungie didn't invent it and it's usually used in public betas where people are gained access to play through the game before release. Because of Halo 3. Haha.

uhh, i'm pretty sure I never said they invented it...but it sure as hell became a lot more popular since Halo 3. Killzone Beta? Warhawk Beta? Tekken Beta? The word gets thrown around a lot more since Halo 3 Beta lit it up.
You are being made to sit through footage on the internet? That sucks. Maybe you should...ummm..get some friends or something?

Yeah where as shooters for the Xbox 360 are original every time

Yeah, like the Killzone beta and all the hundreds of PC game betas. I'm not even going to list them because I simply can't, they're that numerous.
And, I was forced to sit through the footage because my friends we're hoping the Et Tu Brute documentary would look acceptable on my HDset. Their reactions were amusing, I wish I blogged it.
Shame I don't have any friends to share it with. :/
Oh there were also playable betas for Tekken 5, amongst other games. The word hasn't been thrown around anymore since the Halo 3 beta. You're probably just noticing it more now because of the beta. Oh, and sorry. You didn't say Bungie invented it, what you're insinuating though is that Bungie somehow made the term more widespread.
Of course in System Wars, those two things are one and the same.

so you saw the pre-alpha, than watched alpha, than watched gamma, than watched beta...it couldn't have been that bad if you watched all of that. I guess some companies just like to keep their "loyales" up to date on how there game is coming along. This is certainly an extremly anticipated game...I think bungie is doing a good thing by letting there customerslook in on the development process. Nobody is being forced to watch...not even you.
Maybe I am just noticing it more...but I certainly have never seenso many "BETA'S" in topic titles before Halo3 Beta. And let's face it: Halo 3's beta wasvery, very successful. People were buyingother games just to play this game for 2 weeks. They put up huge numbers as far as games played. This certainly wasn't the first beta ever made, and of course there are beta versions going on all the time...but I believe thisBeta sparked developers to follow suit...and I don't see it is as a coincidence that games likeWarhawk and Killzone announcedpublic beta'sfollow Halo 3Beta news. As far as I know, the rule of three made Halo 3 the most public beta on a console to date. I've sure as hell never taken part in a console beta before...so I think it's pretty innovative that Bungie was able to reach so many people who wouldn't normally take part.
And don't worry...maybe work on your sense of humor a little bit and cut down on the lame sarcasm and those friends will start rolling in.
