9.0? didnt the game get an 8.5?

The 360 version has an additional negative point regarding patchy online play while the PS3 version doesn't state that, yet both games still get an 8.5.

Yeah i noticed that and i think its not fair really.. why? because Boderlands got 1 negative point on ps3 and it went down to 8.0 while 360 didnt state anything and got an 8.5..notice the diffrence between tekken and boredlands?.. yup.. anwyays imo Boredlands is a boring game :P

Seems too high. XPLAY's review of a 3/5 sounds more than generous enough for this title.

8.0 to 8.5 isa reasonable score for tekken 6.

I dont think its like that. Borderlands was notably horrendous to the point that it didn't work on the PS3. Tekken for 360 is being described as "patchy".

Additionally, I've had a friend on my friends list (for PS3) tell me online is broken for PS3 version too.

Now, I will agree with you that I find it unfair Fat Princess and to a lesser extent, Socom got knocked down for online issues, yet Gears of War did not.

I've been waiting so long for Tekken 6. It might not be perfect, no local co-op for the Scenario Campaign mode or whatever it's called is rather disappointing. Also given how long it's taken, and it HAS taken a LONG time (how long does it take to port an arcade game for crying out loud!?) I did expect the graphics to be a little better, especially as Tekken has always been one to flex its muscles in the graphics department. Oh well, I blame the 360 for the lengthy wait and underwhelming graphics.

Despite all that I am SO ready for Tekken 6, time to get back into the KoIFT!

To be honest, i'm not much of a Tekken fan, the last one i really enjoy was 3, so i wasn't too hyped with this one, still, the game looks fun and all, and the customizing options sounds great, besides 41 characters is a huge number, however, i think i'm gonna get either BlazBlue or TvsC.

It doesn't matter if it gets patched. If the game was messed up when it launched then it gets reviewed like that.

Yeah 360 gets off the hook. That would explain why a console RTS was held to the same standards as a PC RTS, right?

I love how cows have this conspiracy theory that GameSpot is out to get them. Nobody cares about you. Reviewers are gamers, they actually play games, not hype up games and come on forums saying "lulz we has superior gaemz!" even when they won't even play them.

if it aint broke dont fix it, it's still tekken for ppl who liked past games, now it's with 41 characters, 19 stages, shiny hd graphics, robust character customization, thats more than good enough for me.

Seriously? I can see why, I was going to waste my $60 on this. But now's I'll just get BoGT for $40, for a better game.

Seriously, Namco doesn't care. They haven't cared since Tekken 4, just like Soul Calibur it's became a vehicle to model some new bimbos in a game. I don't care how much they fine tune it, because Tekken looks the same every time. And we waited what? 2-3 years to get this in America? From what I played at my friends, the story sucks, the characters(except the new ones) are the same, except for minor stance tweaks.

Namco needed to revamp tekken in a Major way for a long time.

This review was infinetely better than IGN's. Oh and definetely picking this up regardless of score. Tekken is a family tradition :P It's just one of those games, I can have fun with friends and family.

Either way I'm happy.

Uncharted 2 and Tekken 6 will hold me over until 2010. Easy.

Can't touch DOA in my opinion, regardless of what it scores.

Namco don't seem to have evolved Tekken and Soul Calibur like Capcom have done with Street Fighter. Thats why I am a bigger Street Fighter fan.
