Im sorry but when are we going to see a real next gen fighting game. DOA4 and VF5 where ok but who will be the first to try somthing new.

Why cant clothes rip, or even faces get bloody and bruised. Maybe when your fighter is low on health you can tell just by looking at him/her. Tekken 6 has the worse destructible (sp?) environments ive seen.

I know gameplay is more important but id like to see someone bring somthing new to the table instead of just high res upgrades.

And to the TC, you make a good point about the effects of fighting on fighters...but clothes ripping on female warriors is an almost sure AO rating...

Not saying it will be a bad game but i just wish somone would take fighting games to the next level.

Would be cool for instance if you did a grab move which broke a arm, he/she would be unable to use that arm.

If did major damage to a leg maybe the damage you inflict with it is reduced.

if you low on life maybe you move slightly slower and show signs of pain depending on where your body has recieved most damage.

Cuts and bruises again appear if you hit mulitple times in the face.

Clothes ripping could be done but just not to the extent of all clothes coming off lol. Im thinking if you do a grab.throw move a shirt could get messed up or ripped.

I think Fight Night has something like that...and that game was released near the beginning of this generation.

I agree with your logic and a attempt to implement the functions in a little Xbox 1 game called Tao Feng. Regardless of the score it was a lousy game that was quickly forgotten. Devs need to research the mistakes made with that title and make another attempt to make a "next-gen" fighting game...
