Tekken 6 will become the ultimate Fighting Game this Gen

Tekken is no doubt an awesome fighting game, the combat is really intricate yet rewarding and really entertaining. Tekken has gone as far as it possibly can in terms of combat, I have no idea how Namco can refine the combat further I mean Tekkn 5 was the most complete fighting game ever, it had fantastic levels and awesome characters plus lots of them. Virtua Fighter is a great fighting game also but Tekken in my opinion is just far more entertaining I know VF fans would obviously disagree.

DOA fans have always had one thing over Tekken fans and thats online, DOA fans have bashed Tekken for not being online even though Tekken is a far superior game, I mean sure I like DOA but I don't like it because of the combat since its easy and gets old realy fast, I like DOA because of the fan service :P

Tekken is a proper fighting game and one that can be played for months to learn the style and technique of one particular character. Now what can Tekken 6 do to be different from the previous Tekkens, well for one thing it will have proper distructive evironments, a new rage system and also projectile attacks for each characters (e.g. Bryan Fury with a Shotgun and Law with Nunchaku)

The most important new element this gen for Tekken is....... ITS FINALLY GOING ONLINE !

Yes thats right T5DR will now include online play, I'm sure this will be like a testing ground to make Tekken 6 even better in the online apartment.

Tekken will now officially be the greatest game, the online element will definitely be a welcomed edition.

Tekken 6 is gonna rock and also its a PS3 exclusive !

p.s. Soul Calibur 5 will be the greatest weapons fighting game :)

I'm having a hunch you're saying this because it's an exclusive... Could be wrong though.

I'm thinking this gens will be the same as last gens (score wise anyways), being a soul calibur game. I just like them more than the standard fighters. Why fight with your fists if you can fight with big ass swords and spears and all?

Amen, brother. One of the most-hyped games on the PS3 for me!

It will most likely be Tekken 6...possibly Soul Calibur. I wouldn't count DOA out, though. It's a truly entertianing series, and now has 2 generations worth of online experience to capitalize on to make their next game as polished as it possibly can be.

I think they are called "item attacks", and I don't see them becoming a big part of the game.

If you look at Anna's item attack (throwing her shoe), it is really slow, and Bruce's item attack is chickens?? Seems more like they are "funny" attacks that won't be used in serious play. I could be wrong though, I'll have to see more before I can completely dismiss them.

Projectiles is hardly a good thing in a game like Tekken, and I think in Tekken 2 Devil had a laser beam

It's because not all the Tekken characters can shoot fireballs. Even though Tekken has a ridiculous story, it's more about the martial arts and not the super powers.

SC2 was crap, SC3 was a joke. The SC series has turned into a joke and I wouldn't be surprised if the 4th is crap too. It looks like they want to be DOA also.

OK when I saw the guy with the pistol and then the guy with the shotgun they seemed more serious. I never had a problem with Tekken's gameplay. It seemed weird to add something so radical. But if its like you said then it probably won't be a big deal.

Well it is an exclusive, sorry for any 360 and Wii only owners because they won't be able to play it.

That would have been before VF was announced multi.After the announcementit seemed to change to "Tekken > VF > DOA".
