Yep you heard it right Namco has already started development of Tekken 7 :D This is epic news. I know T6 just got released a few months ago but keep in mind that T6 is actually 3 years old, it got released in the arcades in 2007. Namco just got lazy with the console version and delayed it way too much, with T5 the PS2 version was released within a year of the arcade release. I guess Namco was getting used to current gen tech with T6 that explains why it wasn't really up to par this gen. Anyway Im expecting big changes in T7 and hopefully a showing at E3. God damn this will be my GOTY, I didn't buy T6 for reasons I don't want to get into but I will buy T7 like my life depended on it !!!! Anyone else excited !?

Honestly Tekken 6 was so bad I lost interest in the series. The different stories weren't so bad and the ending of Tekken 5 was pretty cool as well as the trailer they showed in I believe 07 wasn't that bad either.
It's just they dropped the bomb with everything in this game. Unless if they really make it "better" I'm not going back to the Tekken series.
I was extremely disappointed with Tekken 6... I don't think I'll be getting any other Tekken in the future.

I agree. Tekken 6 almost felt like a step backwards from Tekken 5.
The same thing happened with T4 but Namco bounced back with T5, and T6 is just another dip in the franchise. I am sure Namco have learnt from T6 and took experience that will enable them to make Tekken 7 a worthy addition to the franchise
It seems like no one really cared about Tekken 6 once it finally got released.

Tekken 6 was delayed way too much, it should have been released a year earlier. The title was pretty much a letdown as well, seems Namco settled for less with a franchise that is known for creating a benchmark in the fighting genre with each new title. But I am sure T7 will bring the franchise back to the top where it belongs.

Well, as a HUGE HUGE fan of Tekken, esp. TK tag tournament I was dissapointed in TK6; ALOT. I even got the platinum to try and squeeze out alot of the fun.
I mean it's not horrible, but even now I could go on TK5:DR and play HOURS with friends, but not only does T6 not have that, but its just not up to par.
They're going to have make TK7 something really special for me to even show interest.

yea tekken 5 is better and still is better tho i hated tekken 5 DR they changed song moves with annoyed me. but the original tekken 5 was the best tekken game. tekken 6 is **** i hate this game the online is laggy, the grpahics are not that great also the juggles are not as fun as before.

Tekken 5 felt like a huge step backwards from Tekken 4.If by backwards you mean having your back towards going forward then I agree :P Tekken 4 although really good looking was extremely slow and clunky. T5 was definitely an improvement over T4 in terms of gameplay fluidity but the graphics were superior in T4.

The main reason I didn't like T6 was because the online was way too laggy. So I didn't have much desire to learn moves and combos because I didn't have anyone to play against unless it was laggy online. The gameplay seemed fun from what ive played offline. The graphics weren't very impressive which was another dissapointment since the series is known for having good graphics.
If they make the online much better than I will get T7. If not then I"ll pass.

I agree. I love the SF series but I think its really stupid that Capcom trys milk you for those extras.
