tell me europeans why ps3?????

The ps3 sells better in europe vs xbox 360 compared to USA sales but it makes absolutely no sense at all. Firstly, it has no AAA games and the games that are any good on the system are multiplats which run at a slower framerate on the ps3 (and generally rushed inferior ports). Secondly, even with the pricedrop its still more expensive than the 360. With so many good games already on the 360 and the fact that sony itslef has admitted the first 5 million ps3's will sell even if few games are available it just makes no sense to me why europeans love the ps3 (must be brand loyalty and the fact they like getting ripped off).

I bought itfor upcoming exclusives like MGS4, Final Fantasy XIII and Killzone 2.

I also wanted to play Resistance, because my mates were constantly talking about it.

What I've noticed:

• Gemrany
• UK (not "fanboy" but pro-Nintendo)

List of pro-Microsoft (not fanboy) territories:

• UK
• Australia

Firstly we don't rely on game reviewers like gamespot to tell us what game we should buy, secondly halo isn't as big in europe as america and thirdly ps3 gives us our favourite games, footbal: fifa 08, pes08, racing games: F1,gran turismo, ganster/action games: gta4, godfather, the getaway which did well in europe. In europe we don't care how many games gets AAA, we decied ourselves what games we do and don't like and PS always gives us the best games. Free online, blu ray player which in europe Hdtv's are now becoming standard and the fact that it's playstaion helps and also great hardware, we are turned off by 360's 30% failure rate.

erm yaaa? none of my friends ever mentioned anything about **** probably just the way you feel. oh and for a console game halo 3 is pretty big in germany anyways and im guessing the uk also.

yes, usually europeans buy things for long term. 1 car per 15 20 years as we americans tend to think of things as disposable. most people who bought a ps3 probably saw it as future proof and with great games next year, as opposed to playing great games right now on 360.

As far as Portugal and possibilySpain are concerned, the PS3 is number one due to absolutely NO marketing of the XBOX 360 console.

PS3 marketing is very aggressive here, nonetheless: there are tons of commercials during football games, movies, news, etc...

And while the original Xbox was somewhat known here, the Xbox 360 is not. Those who do know about it, don`t believe itwhen I tell them that it is indeed superior to the PS3 (power/price).

They say: "Dude, the PS3... is a PS3! It`s got all the games!".

That's what Sony's managed to create here: blind, dumballegiance to the PS brand...

Why do you generalise by calling certain territories "fanboy territories"? Furthermore, why is the UK exempt from all this labeling and is instead "pro-Nintendo" or "pro-Microsoft"? That sounds rather fishy. Are you from the UK? Furthermore, how dare you call Germany a fanboy territory of Nintendo's if they publicly destroyed their 360s to get PS3s? In addition to all that, the 360 broke a sales record in Australia...until the Wii came along and broke the 360's record.
