There's just something about it that I can't quite put my finger on. I need your help. For me its probably the story. I'm a huge alien/predator fan and the influences from those franchises is intriguing. But the game is definitely one of the greatest of our time. Thoughts?

It's fun? :P But I think it's the easiness of it to just be able pick it up a play. And the multiplayer is a blast with lots of options and ease to find games to play with friends.

I liked the gameplay. It's fun FPS run-and-gun shooter with some decent AI and strategy through in. Not quite as mindless as Serious Sam, but not as boring and tactical as Rainbow Six either.

It is supremely fun. Fun factor >>>> tech specs.

The developer's said it best.

"In Halo 1 there was maybe 30 seconds of fun that happened over and over and over and over again. So if you can get 30 seconds of fun you can pretty much stretch that out to be an entire game."

It's sad that haters will misinterpret this.

Personally, I think it's the action. Halo just have these moments where the action never seems to end.

Halo had a story? To me, i think it was that it was so simple to play, even the most brain dead of casuals could get good at it. If video games went to high school, Halo would be the dumb jock everybody is nice to, but nobody will openly admit that he isnt that great at anything but crushing beer cans on his head. GeOW is his twin brother.

There was no real problem with it. When I think back to what was wrong with it, I only can think about how it didn't have online play.

Co-op on the last level on legendary driving the warthog out. Maybe one of the greatest gaming experences ever.
