There's just something about it that I can't quite put my finger on. I need your help. For me its probably the story. I'm a huge alien/predator fan and the influences from those franchises is intriguing. But the game is definitely one of the greatest of our time. Thoughts?
It's fun? :P But I think it's the easiness of it to just be able pick it up a play. And the multiplayer is a blast with lots of options and ease to find games to play with friends.
I liked the gameplay. It's fun FPS run-and-gun shooter with some decent AI and strategy through in. Not quite as mindless as Serious Sam, but not as boring and tactical as Rainbow Six either.

To me, i think it was that it was so simple to play, even the most brain dead of casuals could get good at it. If video games went to high school, Halo would be the dumb jock everybody is nice to, but nobody will openly admit that he isnt that great at anything but crushing beer cans on his head. GeOW is his twin brother.
