TF2, and now L4D...

Two valve shooters that will continue to thrive and be fun years from now while other, AAA shooters die off, both receiving an 8.5. 

I must be missing something.

9 hours so far clocked on the game and I have only beaten the first campaign, and got into the beginning of the 2nd level in the next campaign. This game is a 9.5 in my book as a multiplayer game. Its a really unique game thats very fun, as well as unpredictable.. A few things I hope they add besides the odvious of more campaigns... More weapons.. I would love to see dual Desert Eagles, Chainsaw, as well as a few otehr weapons added officially to the game. The variety is rather weak, Achievement unlocked items or abilkites woudl be cool too..

Last but not least I would like to see a survival mode where you defend a building or osmething (bunker, house etc etc) agianst wave after wave of zombies.. Limited health, limited ammo, 5 minute prep time or something to move around stuff like barricades, barb wire etc etc.. That would be great.

i liked both games. 

Only 4 maps. It's a good enough reason to dock it. An 8.5 is still an great game. I think it's fair.heretrix

I believe it is fair as well, but not to such a low score(not low by ANY means, just low when compared to other mp games), especially with the amount of time that people have already put into the game, without even needing to touch versus mode, which imo is the mode that will be the reason the game will thrive.

Only 4 maps. It's a good enough reason to dock it. An 8.5 is still an great game. I think it's fair.heretrix

left 4 dead is kinda falling apart on me

all of my damn friends said they would get it first day. instead, only one does. and that one friends doesn't like being a survivor, so all he does is versus.....I WANNA SEE THE OTHER LEVELS. damn man, the game is crazy replayable but only granted you don't do the same level over and over and over again.  I mean, you have to mix it up to keep it fresh (all we ever f'ing do is blood harvest). now i'm stucking playing with this guy and complete strangers, which isn't nearly as much fun as it would be playing with 3 good friends (as i did during the demo)

the demo rocked cause i was with all of my friends, but until my friends get off their asses and buy it (they all have the money, they just keep making up excuses to why they don't just go out and buy it) the game is gonna get boring for me fast

Yeah really the idiots need to stop playing this game at normal and go expert, or at very least advanced..

their are tons of people on the PC version of the game.(tf2 I mean)

MP-only games, despite being designed solely for multiplayer, are some how inherently worse for not offering a competent singleplayer yet SP-only games are not effected by not offering multiplayer at all.

on pc? tf2 is huge! are u talking about xbox live?

Well honestly I still think TF2 stands as the best online game of this generation.....

It got hit heavy by reviews due to lack of maps and modes. Really isn't a problem anymore is it?

Well theres no way gamespot would re-review a PC game but I would expect a higher score for it..its good to see that the metacritic is in the 90s but obviously if you're having fun with it then just screw the reviews good or bad.
