TF2 vs COD4 (1 year after ....)

Its been exactly 1 year since these 2 games were released. Both were the must have MP titles last year.

Both have received their own DLC - new modes, maps, weapons and achievements for TF2 while 4 new maps & double XP weekends for COD4.

Both still have a laaarge community that constantly keeps playing the **** out of the game.

my opnion - cod4 has gone stale, for a game that sold 11 million IW hasnt brought any significant DLC for this game (except those 4 maps) . While TF2 gets constant updates & patches and feels fresh everytime u play it.

I agree with you on COD4, it's getting old rather quik now. They should release some new maps ASAP imo.

Can't comment on TF2 cause I never really played it.

I got both games on the 360 btw. I hear the PC version of TF2 is far better and is getting way more support with DLC and stuff.

TF2 destroys COD4.

Put 30 odd hours into COD4 mp and 58 into TF2 - on PC
Be it content, gameplay, design, visuals or sound, TF2 is a much better online shooter.

COD4 is fun, don't get me wrong, and its great in its own right. Its simply not as good as it.

I cannot stress enough how good TF2 is.

Best online shooter this generation, no question.

Infinity Ward sucked at supporting COD4 after it was released; there was one update which let you follow grenades and stuff, and first person spectating. But that was it.

New maps didn't impress me.

tf2 has humor. tf2 has tacital classes . tf2 has meet thes. tf2 has the spy check. tf2 has sandvich. tf2 has free weekends. tf2 has huge updates. the list could go on....

Thats because Activision didn't want IW to update the game because they wanted to sell more copies of COD: WAW :/.

TF2 > Cod 4

COD 4 is good, but only in SMALL amounts (an hour a week/month)

While TF2 can be fun for 4 hours a day, for months. 

TF2's pretty dead on consoles, and CoD4 lasted.

If we had the Valve support of PC though, I'm sure it would have been just fine.

As a consolite, COD4 only because there's never a person not looking to play, TF2 on 360 is like a  ghost town, but I  do find TF2 more fun.

Because everyone is talking about the PC version. Honestly, if you don't even have a PC capable of running TF2 (a game running on a 4 YEAR OLD ENGINE), then you need a wake up call.

Hence the problem. The Pc version has hundreds upon hundreds of full and active games going on.

I think TF2 was better on the PC, and COD4 was better on the 360. In terms of mechanics, Live integration, and just how the game itself played.Makari

TF2 for sure. Does anyone know if the PC community for CoD4 is still active?Guybrush_3
