even tf2 on the 360 is a good game, its not as if i dont like halo3, i do, it just tf2 is the bee's knees when it comes to a deep multiplayer experience.
TF2 for sure, and once it gets that 10th class it will be even better! (L4D easter egg). I just wish the updates would come sooner for the 360 though, I have it for the 360 and my brother has it for his PC, and its 100x better on PC

imo, judging tf2 from on the consoles is almost a crime, needs to be played on a pc for the full awesome experience(not saying it cant be fun on consoles)

true! if you comparing the ps3 tf2. then its a crime. am not bashing ps3.
This is System Wars. Atleast 33% of people (cows, hermits and lemmings taken into account) are PS3 owners and will vote TF2 just to spite the Xbox. the hermits will probably go for TF2 and lemmings will just go for Halo 3. This is nothing more than a way to sort out the percentages of the amount of lemmings, hermits and cows. For me, while I thought TF2 was the paragon of PC MP, I prefer Halo 3 overall. The game doesn't do anything new or ground-breaking but the gameplay has been refined and tweaked and perfected so much that the game stays fresh, addicting and as exciting as the first time you played it. The gameplay is just pure fun and with such a close bond between devs and the community, you'll be garaunteed variety and excellence in terms of gameplay. Then you have to consider everything else like the outstanding party system, the phenomenal matchmaking, the addicting custom games (where you can edit everything down to the speed you move at), the intuitive forge and the perfectly executed theathre mode. Seriously, I could see myself playing this game until the Xbox '3' comes out.

The way you worded that. Are you assuming that I like grey and brown shooters? If so then not at all. Halo 3 to me is a game that attempts to be serious, but the animations and voices (especially the Elite ugh) come off as goofy and cartoony at times. It's not necessarily the vibrant colors in Halo 3 that turn me off (though it is a contributing factor at times). If that were the case I wouldn't like TF2 at all. TF2 on the other hand is goofy and cartoony, but it's on purpose by the devs and fits the game. Man I remember the short film that was used to promote Halo 3 in 2007. It was so gritty and raw with the vibrant colors. I wish Halo could be like that.

The only way the gameplay can be boiled down to shooting with the assault rifle and then meleeing someone is if you're not using other weapons on a regular basis. It's not like the other weapons are difficult to acquire in a MP match either. Half the time you start with the Battle Rifle which is not used in the fashion described above.

TF2 for me. i'm not really that great at shooters. i like the fact that the game enables you to have a support role and still be valuable to your team.

Of course not every weapon. But when I play that tactic is widely used. Don't get me wrong though. I put in work in Halo 2 and Halo 3 for some time. Just certain aspects began to turn me off.
I liked Halo...but it became quite repetitive after a while. Now, TF2 is a great game, the updates make it better, being able to get the top score as a Medic is amazing and there are plenty ways to play it. MP game of the generation :D
TF2 for me. I've never seen a game that has so effortlessly gotten people to work together. And the medic class actually being fun?? I just really value real team based multiplayer games.
I've only played the console version of Team Fortress 2 and I still enjoyed it more than Halo 3's multiplayer. Both are great but Team Fortress 2 is such a gem.
Halo 3 for me, much more variety in the types of games you can play. Sometimes I just like to go it alone in a deathmatch and Halo 3 gives me that option. I much prefer Left 4 dead as a "team" game.
