Anyway. I'm not bashing the fact of the microtransations, I'm just used to having the full game experience for the $50-60 rather than paying the retail price, then paying more for additional content. Oh well. I suppose it's the evolution of gaming. I see good things from it, and bad things from it. It's still in baby stages but will grow more. I do like how games are turning more focused to the community. Halo 3 and LBP are examples. User created content that you can rank and share with others worldwide. Sony and MS are thinking smart with the community. ChrisMun

I understand where you're coming from. I don't mind paying for a map pack or expansion pack, but I do mind paying for in-game cash, an extra vehicle, or a new outfit for your character. For the most part, the bad part of microtransactions have passed on XBL. Bethesda and EA really tried to screw the consumers, but it didn't work and now we no longer get that crap flooding the XBL Marketplace.

Gamer pics (avatars) and Themes (wallpaper) are rip offs though. I am guilty of buying both though. :(

Ah, you totally can. Make your own wallpaper on PC and import them to you 360's HDD wirelessly. I have my custom Elisha Cuthbert wallpaper up now. :) We can always dream, lol.

You should be thanking Sony for Madden and GTA, without them and the PS2 and its massive game sales ther would never of been any GTA 4 or Madden 08. Thank you sony for making gaming wat it is today.GarchomPro

I just wanted to thank Microsoft for creating a great gaming console and giving us gamers what we need and thats absolutely fun and amazing games like Halo 3, Madden 08, GTA4, Ninja Gaiden 2, just to name a few. Not only giving us critically acclaimed games but also giving us the best online gaming service. Without Xbox Live none of the online multiplayer aspects of a game would work, so thank you for Xbox Live and continuing to make it the best online service for a gaming console ever. I know you've had your ups and downs, but at the end you deliver the goods. You are the leader and the other two consoles looks up to you, so I thank you for being the leader this gen.

Despite your faults you done more than enough to make up for it. You standing up from a knock down just made you stronger and we all see the strength within you. You are definately the strong leader now. Also I would like to thank you for working with gaming developers like Bungie, Epic, EA, 2K, etc. just to name a few for making the best games and best versions of games. You guys are doing it right this gen. Keep up the good work. Thank you Microsoft.

PS. Thank you Bill Gates for helping revolutionize computers. Without you, none of this wouldn't have happen.

Anyone that has used M$ products over the years have learned that there really not that great of a OS developer with all the problem OS releases loaded with all kinds of crazy errors and viruses that they have no idea of how to fix. Also the only way M$ knows how to compete in a market is buy developers off with large somes of money like they have been doing in the gameing market lately. This is begining to come back and bite them big time. A example of this is the delay of GTA4 on both systems, now the developers are working on GTA5 on the PS3 and no talk of even developing a 360 version. Also there have been some developers that dropped development on the 360 and developing on the PS3 now. That's why many analist are now saying that the PS3 will take the lead over the 360 very soon.jimm895

You touch upon some interesting concerns that all gamers should understand. Especially the cheerleader who started this thread.

People should be concerned and watching Microsoft with a wary eye. They have their best interests at heart, not the gaming community. Control is Microsofts middle name. Just look at how they have bought their way into this poor cheerleaders heart. Little does he know, if Microsoft has their way, gaming on consoles will be just as unweildy as some feel PC gaming is and much more expensive too.

Unfortunately people like him are too busy bending over for Microsoft. They fail to see that Microsoft can't even orchestrate an OS properly. Even after being the so called leader in computer operating systems.T o make matters worse,they go out and produce hardware (360)with major flaws. They achieve "success" by throwing money around to control market segments and rarely succeed in making a quality product that would stand out on its own merit.

Now, I will digress my rant and await the inevitable Gamespot ban for criticizingMicrosoft :|

So I guess you should thank Sony for making the Playstation which lead to MS entering the market and thank Nintendo for backstabbing Sony on the Play Station CD addon for the SNES which led to the creation of the PS's.
