Actions speaks loader than words,there is no reason why TLOU should be GOTY over other PS3 games with higher score,after all its scores is suppose to reflect its quality.

Really explain to me how when 3 games are higher rated on PS3 than TLOU.?

Is not like it got a 9 and the other games also a 9 so it is fair ground,no TLOU got an 8 here,and several other exclusives got a higher score here,one even by the same reviewer that review TLOU.

Gamespot fu** up TLOU review and now they are trying to fix their mess by naming TLOU Goty on PS3.

For one, you can't compare two different games from different genres, since they'd be held to different standards.

Secondly, the 8 is his opinion, not the whole of GS's, so saying GS thinks he fucked up is inane since they're pretty much just saying they disagree as a whole. If the whole GS team wrote that review, you'd have a point, but they didn't.

Score are suppose to reflect quality,so it doesn't matter if it is a Racing vs a FPS is the racing games is not as good it should not win period,and this is what happen here,gamespot just confirmed that their score system is useless for not say insanely bad.

Tom Is a gamespot reviewer so when tom say 9 or 8 it speaks for GAMESPOT this is a fact,you don't see people on forums saying Toms MC Shea latest score came out,no they say gamespot score of this or that game came out so yeah Tom as well as other reviewers = gamespot.

Yes, quality in that genre against the standards for that genre, it's not a hard concept to grasp.

That doesn't mean that the others can't have differing opinions, which is what the game of the year is about, their collective opinion. That review is still his own opinion regardless if he publishes is here as their main review. What it seems like you're trying to say, is his opinion is invalid because other people think differently.

All that shows is that Tom McShea=/=The entire gamespot staff. It's an opinion, not some standard of objective quality. He didn't connect with it as much as he connected with other games. Hence the disparity in two review scores. The rest of the staff as a whole got together and felt comfortable with Last of Us as their game of the year(PS3 at least, for now). I don't understand how something that basic goes over someones head.

It deserves it imo. God of war ascension is the only other PS3 exclusive I really enjoyed as much this year, but I haven't played beyond 2 souls yet.

GOTY doesn't go to the game with the highest score. It's as simple as that.

Bioshock Infinite. The best of the trilogy, and one of the best games this gen.

Crap game. Bioshock was the only decent game in the series, and the only good thing it had going for it was atmosphere.

Looking at it in context, it is. 8/10 for Daikatana is a great score. 8/10 for Last of Us, which happens to be the 25th highest rated game of all time, is a bad score.
