Thank you Microsoft for NOTHING!!!

Thanks to xbox 360 we had a GTVIV delay due to it's RROD. MY theory, which is based off strong fact, is GTAIV was foolishly delayed in hopes microsoft would be able to fix the RROD problems. Still xbox 360 is plagued with problems and thus the possibility of ANOTHER delay. They say it is possibly delayed because of EA wanting to buy Take two, but i don't buy it. Also xbox 360 is going down this year with hd dvd losing terribly and the PS3 having GREAT games coming out liek MGS4, FF13, Resistence 2, and Kill zone 2. Thanks microsoft, thanks

One of the reasons. GTA was never going to release in the original date. Rockstar needed to polish things. They're still not entriely sure about it and want to keep improving it.

When the delay was announced in August, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick told investors that "the reason it is being delayed is almost strictly technological problems — not problems, but challenges." Barrera offered a little more detail to MTV News this week: "It's really no surprise to anybody that the PS3 was definitely a contributing factor to that.

I heard GTA was delayed for various reasons. Programming difficulty on PS3 and lack of storage space on X360. I also heard they have added a ton of content since it was officially delayed. Personally I'd rather wait and get a better game. I've got more games to play than I can afford as is.EmperorSupreme

and it all so came to light that the 360 version was way way ahead of the ps3 version..something like 6 to 7 months ahead 360 users could have had the game months ago if not for the hope for a same release on both systems by rockstar so it was delayed.

actually, it was rumored that GTA IV was delayed because R* devs were having a bit of difficulty creating the PS3 version of the game (at least that was the rumor, don't know if it was true).
