Its your own fault for buying something without thinking about how many games and movies you want to buy for it. Blame yourself. I've got over ten games and probably 20 bluray movies and I'm more than happy with the PS3 and its quality list of attributes.

While PS3 is in dead last, I have saw PS3's sell on Black Friday. I've been to Wal-Mart, Gamecrazy, EB Games, Gamestop, Target, Best Buy, and the soon to be closed Circuit City. All three of the consoles sold well especially for their prices. I doubt EVERYBODY only wanted a PS3 because of blu-ray. Be fair man, all fanboyism aside. You're telling me nobody wanted a PS3 because their was a $129 blu-ray player? Speak for yourself fanboy, maybe thats your only reason for buying a PS3 but it isn't everyone elses

lol, try watching a movie on that POS. ever compared the speed of the ps3 to a stand alone blu-ray player???you'll spend 5-10 minutes waiting to watch every movie because of loading. also you probably didn't get BD-live compatability. plus you lose the ability to play some fantastic games. but i guess fanboys will be fanboys.
i myself bought a blu ray player a few days ago as well. i got tired of waiting for the ps3 to lower the prices. I figured the ps3 will never get low enough to every warrant a purchase for me at this rate, so i just got the player and some movies instead.

I get a little tired of the "if you own a PC you don't need a 360, same could be said for a PS3. There isn't enough good PS3 games for it to warrant a purchase! IMO gaming on a PC sucks! If the difference between having fun or not is your sitting position then you're doing it wrong. It's a tired argument and I'm personally tired of it. I have no trouble gaming on a couch or in a chair, With my consoles or with my PC.

because if he wanted just a blu-ray player there was no need to create a thread in a SW forum which concerns gaming systems not HD media formats.... also seeing his history of continous bashing the PS3 in these forums makes the tc a fanboy... you can have opinions which are logical, objective and unbiased or you can be a fanboy and post nonsense... tc opts for the latter...

I dont know what you mean by dragging it back and forth. Just leave it hooked up to the HDTV, just like your console. Youre already using both and its obvious. 360 has no web browser. With PC hooked up to your TV you wouldnt have to go back to your desk to access email or post on forums.

That's just what we need. Sitting on a couch trying to deal with patches and configuration issues. :P Consoles arent exempt from patching, Im surprised you dont know that already. Updates happen. Theyre not a bad thing. As far as configuration issues...yes, they exist, but the option to configure your rig is considered by many to be a plus. It gives you a broad range of options. And at least you dont have to deal with annual fees for online gaming, a closed network, and GENERAL HARDWARE FAILURE.

In my experience, the PS3 is a much better blu-ray player than the lower-end stand alone players. It's a great, flexible, middle-of-the-road player. Load times are pretty quick and the hard drive space is nice. I sold my stand-alone player for a profit and rolled the money over into a PS3, and I don't regret it. In terms of games, I still play my 360 a bunch more. I have 3 PS3 games. I have 20 360 games, not to mention the XBox original titles that I have. I had that gamepass from Blockbuster, did a whole bunch of comparing, and despite the fact that I like the PS3 controller better, I prefer 360 multiplats in almost every case. So, if you're happy with your purchase, good for you. I got a deal on my PS3 and the sale of my stand-alone player, so it was worth it for me to buy the PS3 as a blu-ray player and a gaming rig on the side (by the way, those 3 games, to be fair, I really, really like)

Good for you. Finally something to put in the place of that HD DVD add on. Just have fun with the inferior picture, inferior sound, inferior loading times, lack of BD live, and lack of a nice roomy hard disc.
