Care for a little bit of System wars history guys? Gather along!

Seriously now. I've been a lurker around this forum for years. Recently, I started to go to college so I stopped having time to come here. Two, three days ago I returned to System Wars to find bad mouthing, tons of troll topics, and just a general level of stupidity I never saw in the "old days". The tipping point was when I just read a topic about someone called forzagearsface or something like that. Just...sad.

Before, there where some fanboys, sure. But they normally tried to have a decent and thought out discussion with others (BioshockOwnz springs to mind). Now it looks like all hell broke loose around here.

What's with the BioShockOwnz love? He made plenty of dumb posts.

People think they're funny by trolling, or they find entertainment in their poor attempts at trolling. This started happening once the rules changed, because apparently system wars should be like this.

You're right, he did. But he never insulted anyone or anything like that. Now, most users curse like sailors and don't even try to hide their fanboyism.

Around here it seems like everyone hates loosingENDS now. But honestly, I've seen tons of other users who are ten times worst then him-cows, lemmings and hermits alike.

BioshockOwnz wasn't very smart, but he's like einstein compared to SW's current figureheads.

I mean, when a game like Lair bombed Cows didn't say it did great. Sure some defended it, but no one was saying it did great. Now Kinect Star Wars super flops, and you have someone going "wow, it did amazingly well for a game with such low hype" despite it being half of what he hyped. I think we all know who said that.

I remember I used to get moderated for saying: "this game is so retarded" because the term "retarded"... I don't know, the point is that it was bad. Then another time I got moderated because I had a stalker and I told him to stay away from me... I even got points deducted and everything but now people can call "moron" or "idiot" to another people and nothing happens. :?

It's funny how the internet, which more than anything is a conduit forinformation(i.e. increasing knowledge) has become a bastion for blind stupidity and asinine ignorance. But hey, we all still use it and log onto this forum on a daily/weekly basis. Sad but true.

Honestly I don't let the stupidity get to me and I only engage in stimulating conversation with the people who prove themselves worthy to talk to. Not based on their opinions per se, but based on how they present them. Whether they differ from mine or not. I recommend doing the same :)

Nothing TC, just the usual bad mouthing and troll topics. This is SW you know, it needs trolls and bad topics to survive, it feeds on them. :lol:

I think Nintendo fans on here thinking they're already won this gen in terms of everything and next gen and celebrating over Sony's declining profits and sales and Microsoft's no games status.

So some Cows and Lemmings are being forced to make topics or even troll topics on the defensive or pin-pointing.

But lets be honest.
When specs of 720 and PS4 come out and they are shown to be a behemoth of a console and every gamers dream. Sheep will flock under sales figures.
