Wonder how many people are going to say "PS3 should be on that list." Endfinal
PS3 should be on that list...:D
   Hey you asked!Â
Look at what they say for #1. It's clear they're PS3 haters

The number 1 is an Apple system...I am not sure I follow you here.Â

- Sega CD
- 32X
- Saturn
- Dreamcast
Its a shame that one of the best game devs of all time makes up 40% of the list :(dI feel like playing Sonic CD now because I hear all of this its the best Sonic ever. Too bad I traded the CD add-on.

Still it didnt sell very well.
Poor TurboGrafx-16 :(hiho24
Â
Well, for me it's a good thing. So in 15 years my collection of nearly 70 HuCards and 2 dozen Turbo CD games will be worth more than systems that had more mainstream appeal. Â

Yes, i understand you. I wish i had a TurboGrafx-16, or, even better, a TurboDuo. Well, at least i have a Neo Geo CD, and honestly, i like it. Too bad the thing has an 1X CD drive, and boy, the loading are indeed very long. But sometimes i play Metal Slug on it, and fortuately, the loading times of that game in particular are not a real problem.
Well it seems like they're trying to point out the downfalls of unsuccessful consoles and do a psuedo parallel to PS3 (which i don't disagree with), but there are some flaws.
Virtual Boy... NO KEY GAMES??? Telero Boxer? Mario Tennis? Red Alarm? Wario Land? Mario Clash? I mean it didn't sell well but it was damn fun and had a few gems.
Pippen... Didn't release so it really shouldn't count.
And what about Odyssey 2? Or Odyssey 1? they didn't sell well at all, and were full fledged systems not like Sega CD. I mean if that was on the list Jaguar had a CD add on that probably sold badly too.
And Neo Geo??
But it's Gamepro, "the worst in gaming press"Â (they should really stop printing that on the covers)
[QUOTE="HeedleGlavin"]It's such a shame that the Dreamcast had to be on that list. The single most underappreciated console in history.ELJUDEZAgree.

agreed....good thing i got 2 of them:)Â

Agreed, I still love my Dreamcast, it was a great console regardless of sales. Â
It's ironic how the worst selling console is priced the same as the ps3  makes me think :lol:cyprus646
You do know most of these consoles were made in the early-mid 90s. $600-700 in the early 90s is like $1200-1300 now. $1700-$2000 if you live in New York (like myself).
It has nothing to do with price since Dreamcast was $200 and it failed. It depends on if the console can appeal to casuals and thats it.

True."The console's high $399 price put the sting on gamer wallets, and a complex multi-processor hardware architecture hindered game development leaving Saturn with relatively few good games. As a result, the more technologically forgiving PlayStation enjoyed a high influx of games to become the clear best-selling system of that generation. The "stillborn" Saturn would sell only 9.5 million units worldwide."
Â
Is it just me, or does this excerpt sound familiar? Let me just make a few changes underlined:
The console's high $599 price put the sting on gamer wallets, and a complex Cellprocessor architecture hindered game development leaving PS3 with relatively few good games. As a result, the more technologically forgiving Xbox 360 enjoyed a high influx of games to become the clear best-selling system of that generation.
Yeah, I know it's biased, but it's still funny.
