The 360 confuses me

What does it actually have to offer? It's basically a ps3 with MAJOR cut backs. Yes the ps3 is expensive but your getting a blue ray player which is worth more than the console itself! Yes some will argue that they dont want a blue ray player but it also allows the ps3 to have MUCH bigger games than the 360. It angers me that the ps3 has to suffer in games like GTA because they have to make it crap enough so it works on the 360 aswell.

So what about GTA3, Vice City and San Andreas which were developed on the under-powered ps2 and had the potential to look much better on the Xbox, but Rockstar had to make these GTA games crap enough so it works on the ps2 aswell !!!!

It has great games, thats what it has to offer..An affordable price, the best console online service, and what is in many peoples eyes a superior controller. The graphics at this point of time are AT LEAST on par with the PS3s, it has a ton to offer a gamer.Sovereign727

My point was about the system itself. 360 will become outdated very quickly with new graphic engines being built which only ps3 is powerful enough to handle. The chip in the ps3 was bought by the US army because of its power, 360 is lika slightly better xbox with 0 inovation and monthly fees for online play...

I dont care about now. 360 is already a year old, and it doesnt have enough raw power to survive the systems war. Wii may survive due to its uniqueness

The 360 has tons of good games, how does that confuse you? So far, it has 5 AAA games and 45 AA games. That's 50 worthwile games to play right there. Also, 3 of those AAA's are (console) exclusives (since ghost recon is completly different on 360 than other platforms), 4 if you count R6 vegas (since cows seem to say that virtua fighter 5 is exclusive)

The Ps3 has 1 AAA game (which isn't exclusive) and 14 AA games. That adds up to 15 solid games.

See now thats just plain stupid, 360 doesnt beat ps3 in graphics at all. Its just that no one really wants to try to make an expensive game on ps3 because nobody cares about it, and everyone hates them at the moment. Not a very good investment for a game developer.

I think the potential in graphics are the same for both systems. there will be a point when the graphics getting better wont really matter anymore, like we wont care if tht brick in the corner on the screen has more realistic dust in the ps3 version.

ahhhh, from what I understand PS3 and X360 is basically the same.  No one is holding anyone back.  If anything, you should point the finger at the Wii for poor graphics.  Just think, if they win the largest user base you're complaint might actually be valid......that being Wii may force them to dumb down games so it can be played on the Wii which might in turn affect how it looks on PS3/X360 (everything I just said will never happen but it's about as factual as your post :P )

The xbox had more power then the PS2, but I remember GTA Sanandreas looking better on the Xbox. Sounds to me like the difficulty to develope for the PS3 is holding it back not the power of the 360 like you try to claim.

WOW!  JUST WOW!  I didnt know people like you really existed, I thought the stories I'd heard were similar to that of the Leprachaun, Big Foot & The Lockness Monster!  BUT HERE YOU ARE in all your IGNORANT FANBOY GLORY!

The only way games need anything more than DVD is if you are cramming the thing full of CGI, which GTA has never had therefore your argument about the game being scaled back because of the 360 is void/moot!  And the 360 has the best looking game atm (GEARS OF WAR), if you were any kind of gamer you'd know this already!

Also every multiplat game released has looked better on the 360, including Oblivion, I can send you the side by side comparision video if you like! the only thing better about the PS3 version of Oblivion is that the load times are about 10% faster!  Which is hilarious because Bethesda had an extra year of development time to optimize the game!
