The 360 controller vs the Dualshock 3.....

I'm trying to decide between a 360 and PS3, and oddly enough, one of the factors pushing me towards the 360 is the controller. It feels perfect for nearly everything, especially FPS games. While the DS3 is nice for most games, it just feels so awkward for me on FPS games.

Am I alone in my thinking here?

While I will admit the 360 controller does feel a bitbetter for FPS. I do like the DS3 more though.

the 360 controller is better but I prefer the ps3 anyway.

both controllers have the same amount of buttons, DS2 has the added motion sensing. I don't understand how one is better for fps... I mean... There is no delay when Im pressing a button on either controller, both of their sticks are about the same.... so what gives?

The 360 is cooler. While some will say PS3 might be better for Fighting Games.. you'll be buying a Stick anyway if you wanna play Fighting Games srsly.Shoooryuken

Even when you just want to have fun and not play "srsly" its still a hassle. Iv tried SF4 on 360 and I automaticly became worse then if I would play on a DS3. I still was abel to win,but thats not the point.

Both controllers are very good. The only time I've noticed a difference or problem was when I was playing Street Fighter 4 on 360, the triggers are terrible for that game.

Overall, the triggers on 360 controller are cool and all, but the Dual Shock is way better for Sports games, Fighting games, etc.

Well to be honest here i have jumped back and forth on the 360 and DS3 for SF4. I just hate hte dpad so dam much. I can still do moves,but its just so anoying.Also may I ask what are charge characters. Is that some fighter lingo for a certain type of fighter in a game. Like a vega or bison.

why look at the controllers?

I would focus on exclusive games.

I dont use stick at all on 360. I do admit though its the only way I could pull off the specials of vega and guile. Besides that I only use dpad and its not really that hard to play with the charge characters with the DS3 dpad. In fact I like using bison alot.

I prefer the 360 controller, but to be honest it's fairly marginal. Neither controller is uncomfortable (though in my opinion the 360 controller is more comfortable) and they basically have the same buttons. Base your choice on thegames, you'll get use to either controller in a short length of time.

Xbox 360's controller just feels more comfortable to me, I've never been one to like the design of PS controllers.

Funny because the controller was the reason why I bought a 360 over a ps3. Though im getting a ps3 sooner or later anyways.

360 controller is the best, dual shock is ok

i don't like the 360 controler for anytype of games

I hate playstation controllers, I've always found them completely unusable for some reason. D-pad aside, the 360 controller works almost flawlessly as far as I'm concerned.
