It's true, I have a ps3 and the only fun online games are call of duty or bad comapny 2. Uncharted 2 is okay. But seriously the 360 just has more online games that'll last you longer like halo or gears. I love my single player games but I get bored sometimes and wish I had some more online games.

Ehhh.... That's debately. I guess you could say that playing online is better on the 360 because most folks have a headset. That's a double-edged sword though because most folks playing online are raving lunatics.
Here's what I'd say:
Online is better on the 360 and the PS3 than the Wii; no user codes, more microphone and better connections.

Gears 2 work online perfectly, didn't it? You don't know what you are talking about. I play tf2 for ps3 and it has a great community. Plus you have more popular games like warhawk, resistance, uncharted, mgo, killzone, and socom. Not to mention all the multiplats. Saying the 360 has better online games is just a myth,

Pure BS, as an owner of both consoles it's really easy to spot the BS. Gears for example hardly ever had anyone with mics, and even Halo would have one or 2 people with mics total. What does player count have to do with anything though? More players doesn't make it better by default. What if Unreal Tournament had 100 players on a map? That'd be ridiculous, it wouldn't even be fun. It's about the quality of the game and the experience, not how many people can run around shooting each other. Hell, Splinter Cell Chaos Theory was like what, 4-6 players? Small player cap, yet it was an amazingly fun multiplayer experience. It's all about the execution here. Build your game right, make it fun, player count be damned. Name a PS3 shooter that allows you to edit the game's maps and record all of your gameplay footage, within the game, all in the same game. What does player count have to do with anything though? More players doesn't make it better by default. What if Unreal Tournament had 100 players on a map? That'd be ridiculous, it wouldn't even be fun. It's about the quality of the game and the experience, not how many people can run around shooting each other. Hell, Splinter Cell Chaos Theory was like what, 4-6 players? Small player cap, yet it was an amazingly fun multiplayer experience. It's all about the execution here. Build your game right, make it fun, player count be damned. So if you're going to go by scores then, Halo 3 alone beats the competition.agreed lots of players does not mean fun. the biggest mp game i play and i enjoy is counter strike source with 20 players. anymore than that and i wont enjoy it

Difference is Lair is crap, and Halo 3 got 9.5.

Geez, I thought you were going to come back with some cool gameplay examples, you know like what is special when actually playing the game lol. Kind of like in Socom, I've been in matches where it felt like my heart was going to explode from all of the suspense of me trying to stay alive when last man standing to win the match overall in the last round. Or killing 2 dudes on the way to the bomb, 1 being a scoped shot from about 200 meters away, dropped the last dude at the bomb site, to only squeeze my butt cheeks while disarming the bomb that was only about .0001 sec from exploding lol. These kind of memories is what makes a game, not what you unlocked, not what level you are, and certainly not what feature you played with, within a game lol.That's a lie, this thread should be locked for misleading title. And LOL at you for listing gears, if your going to list gears as an online game you've just opened the door for every single game with online because gears is terrible online. The 360 doesn't have anywhere near as many online games as the PS3. UC2, KZ2, Resistance 1 & 2, Socom, Warhawk etc.. Against Halo? FriendlyGaimzGears is only terrible online when people are cheating their balls off (which i won't deny happens more than I would like) but when the game is played properly and not exploited to hell and back, it is a fantastic online experience. I feel sorry for anyone that overlooks the game because they have "heard" about its bad reputation. The fact is that when it works, it is awesome.

If you like Counter Strike, you should give Socom a chance. It has a steep learning curve which like with the best pc games, that creates a lasting appeal where you can always get better at it. Because for some 360 fans popularity = quality,if more people play it, it most be because is better,but that only apply to Halo since MW2 is more popular than Halo and 360 fans refuse to be consistent and apply the same rules and claim MW is better.

Well Resistance support 60 players,and not 4 but 8 player co-op something no 360 game support to date from what i know.

More popular doesn't equal better.... Halo 3 and Gears of War, while having good online, are only still popular because of their hundreds of 14 year old fans that think it's the best thing ever.
PS3 has Little Big Planet, Uncharted, Unreal Tournament 3 (with mods, 360 doesn't), Metal Gear Online, Demon's Souls, and a ton of other online games 360 has like Red Dead and Modern Warfare 2
