They expected E3 to be handed to the Wii U... Instead it is going to look like a joke next to true next gen console/s.

The controller alone makes the Wii U a failure, I want to play video games not train for a body building competition.

Nintendo have hinted the Wii U won't be cheap, so let's say $400 at launch. I don't expect the X720/PS4 to launch at $500/$600 like previously, so let's say they launch in 2014 for $400. PS3 launched a year later to the 360 and was more expensive, yet there was almost no difference.

X720/PS4 in 2014 won't be much more powerful than the Wii U, not like the Wii anyway where Wii was severely under powered a lot of effort would have to go in to it to get the HD console 3rd party multiplats, next gen for Wii U the difference won't be so big and not a problem.

You think Sony will go all out in power again? You think MS even cares at this point? We will see a natural step up in graphics, nothing more, Wii U will be a lot more powerful than current gen consoles (they are severely underpowered in 2012) and probably just a bit less powerful than 720/PS4.

That's what I think, if 720 is indeed shown at E3 then we can talk, for now I'll stick to this.

I think that you'll be in for a huge shock & a huge disappointment if neither Xbox 720 or PS4 turns out to be much more powerful than Wii U.

We don't know much of anything about these systems, so your premise is wrong. The only ones who will be crying are 360 fanboys like yourself because the only thing you'll probably have to play next gen is Kinect, the way MS is taking the xbox brand it's looking more and more likely every day.

The Jaguar's controller was not the reason it was a failure. That should be obvious.

Nintendo isn't grasping at straws. Touch screens aren't just limited to the DS. It is the new big trend in tech. CES even had a touch TV screen. You would think that sony would have found a way to make the Vita display 3D with all the 3D they have been pushing lately, but the need of a touch screen is too great now (and you can't have both). Granted, consoles aren't exactly the same as handheld devices, but everyone will at least be curious about it
