Sony recently announced that the PS3 would get keyboard and mouse support for the release of Unreal Tournament 3 and that they would help support the modding community by uploading mods for download on the Playstation network.
So far Microsoft has flatout refused to give the 360 any keyboard and mouse support and it seems like this along with their refusal to allow modded conten onto the marketplace will end up costing them dearly.
Right now Microsoft has alot of good support from PC developers. There are already a few RTS PC ports out and with Supreme Commander just announced and World In Conflict and Universe At War on their way soon along with the release of Unreal Tournament 3 sometime next year. If there's any console that is begging for keyboard and mouse support it's the 360. When developers see the support Sony is giving to PC developers they'll soon be asking themselves..."Why should we have to delibratley cripple and re-design our entire game and interface to work round a clumsy console controller when we can just port it to thePS3 as it is?"
With a number of the 360's best games being PC and console exclusives (Gears, Bioshock etc.) losing the support of PC developers because of some prude weird taboo they seem to have could end up costing Microsoft dearly.
So wake up and smell the napalm Microsoft! This is a console war. If you're too prude to do it then someone else will and will reap the benefits on your behalf.
