This isn't based on one firms opinion, rather based on the financial trading of the ENTIRE industry.

Think of this like Gamerankings, while regular analysts are more like Gamepro.. or EGM

The aggregated analysis of the market.

The Wii is currently predicted to lead globally with 63.29 million units sold . The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 are dead even now, with the PS3 predicted to sell 52.66 million units and the Xbox 360 to sell 52.42 million units .

The predictions have changed dramatically since the European launch. A couple weeks ago the PS3 was predicted to be last following the weak February NPD numbers and the loss of DMC4 as an exclusive. These forecasts are based on the aggregated trading of thousands of gamers on the simExchange video game prediction market .

Why doesn't anyone realize that market analysis is an IMPOSSIBLE profession?  There are MILLIONS of things that factor into such a broad prediction as this, and at this point, the guess of an analyst is no better than the guess of 90% of the respectably intelligent populace.  The Wii will sell more than that.  The 360 will sell less than that.  The PS3 will sell slightly more.

And? Analysts are still wrong. They suck at their jobs, because their jobs suck. Even if they predicted 100,000,000 units for 360 I'd call total BS. There is no way to make an accurate prediction into what may happen in the future of an industry that is constantly changing.

Wii won't win anything, sooner or later people will realise how Nintendo are isolating the Core gamer market.

Think of your opinion in all of this to represent 1/50 millionth of what this trading organization stands for.

I think you mean that casuals will get bored since the Wii is like a fad right now. What will happen when that happens?

There's a much better chance the Wii will slowly fade and die once the hype is gone. People can only play so many Wiimote minigame versions of real games on the other consoles.

Unless someone makes a deep game using the controller they won't catch any hardcore crowd by the time 360/PS3 are cheaper, no one will think anything of the Wiimote and just go for big budget games with good graphics on PS3/360. I don't see this happening at all since the industry is taking the Wiimote as a way to make their games playable by retards instead of the obvious easy to learn, tough to master approach the Wiimote could provide.

Maybe, but i'm talking about Wii appealing to the mass Core gamers and it's not even going to do that with poor 3rd party support and last gen ports with crappy controls. Nintendo fans will be pleased AKA GC. Wii will not have the mass casual success of the DS simply because it's an entirely different market.
