The only REAL answer to the 360/PS3 graphical battle is exclusives. With exclusives you get a game developed from the start to finish on that console alone. Utilizing it as best as it can be. Only then is the hardware being used correctly.

It is obvious from all multiplats that judging graphical power off of them is pointless.

who ever has the best tool set to harness the power of that respective console. thats right ladies. the 360 and ps3 are only going to shine as much as the software allows the artist to manipulate all that power. I mean ID's RAGE looks like its impossible on todays consoles and yet 2 of them are getting it. it took ID less than 2 years to come up with an engine that nearly doubles what their last could do on the same hardware. so the argument about best graphics is pointless cause its about what you have to paint the canvas this gen, not the canvas itself as many fanboys are pointing out these days.akuma303x

Agreed! The power of these 2 consoles are too similar to have a decissive advantage... It's all up to progammers now...And quite frankly, I'm not complaining with graphical achievement on any of them...even if in general, the 360 offers more stable frame rate in multiplats...oops, with that said, some will jump on my back lol

what 360 games needs a HDD unless for online play? If so that is some good ownage for PS3 making the 360 core pointless compared.

I'll enjoy shorter loading times. In truth Blu-ray is just as fast as the drive in X360, thats why most games have the same or faster loading times on PS3 without install. And games like Uncharted can play start to finish with no loading times. See DVD only hits it's advertised speed at the outer edge of the disc where it spins fastest. Blu-ray reads at the same speed across the entire surface of the disk. Also DVD takes a big hit in performance with dual layer disks and DVD9 which all games for X360 use now.

X360 would have installs as well if Microsoft didn't have the arcade sku, they really stepped backward from last generation not including a Harddrive standard.

yeah and the only game that makes you change the disc three times is Lost Odyssey. Im 70 hours into the game so assure you i never changed discs more then once in one sitting lol.

who cares its the games that do and the gameplay and replay value this is the reason wiis on top to begin with,

Blu-ray is expanding more than HD DVD though. Plus Xbox 360 has showed us with Halo 3 what it can do at it's best. The PS3 is now where near it's best! Dion4ever

What makes you think Halo3 is the best the 360 can do? The best looking games for a console have almost never been released at the 2 year point. Halo2 isn't even the best looking game on the darn thing anyways. And then you just assume that the PS3 isn't anywhere near it's best. It very well could be, just as the 360 could possibly be at it's best. Changing your logic based on what console is in your sentence doesn't really work that well for you.

Blu-ray is expanding more then HD-DVD? That isn't really saying a whole lot considering HD-DVD's current state.
