I love FEAR but Im more excited for KZ2 but I will be getting both thats for sure, I liked KZ1 but KZ2 looks to be in another league right now but I loved FEAR and its expansion pacts and the story which is unusual for a shooter.

Plus the AI and gun battles are so satisfying if they can improve on FEAR but retain those two aspects I'm golden. Hell it could be a rehash and I'd still buy it because the core gameplay is just so damn fun.

if you watched the first vid you would see they opened up and varried the environments

hmmm, this is predictable. X360 fans - Fear 2 will rule PS3 fans - KillZone 2 will rule Wii fans - trying to convince themselves the Conduit is compareable to Halo 2 loldarthogre

Ummm... FEAR 2 definitely won't be FPS of the Year. It'll be lucky to be a contender. The first FEAR was okay, and the first expansion felt more of the same. I don't even know. I don't want, either, really.DeathScape666

It's not right to bring the expansions into this. The expansions were handled by a completely different dev team.

The original had perhaps the most satisfying core gunplay in an FPS, ever, and the sequel looks like it's going to scratch all the right itches.

FEAR 2 might have higher scores, but the amount of hype propelling Killzone 2 is going to give it better sales.dgsag

i disagree. The console port of FEAR on the 360 sold very well. the pc version also sold very well

I will be getting them both. I know I will love FEAR 2, because FEAR was my most-played FPS ever.

I agree on the cliche horror elements, but you have to admit it had some pretty good AI for it's time.
