The best game this gen that has been released so far.

I didn't want to limit the thread toa poll question. Imo it is Uncharted 2. Has all the the elements you want in a game great single player experience and great multi-player experience.Your thoughts.

Persona 4. That game was great. Very addicting and I love the social link aspect of the game. The battle system was improved in my opinion as well compared to Persona 3.

Mass Effect 2

From what I've played probably Uncharted 2 as well. MGS4 would have been it but MGO was really lame. Uncharted 2 is the whole package with both a great SP and an outstanding MP

For me it's the Witcher, Persona 4 and Mass Effect 2

Demon's Souls, Uncharted 2, Super Mario Galaxy, Mass Effect and God of War III are my top 5.

So, another subjective "what is your favorite" topic?

Super Mario Galaxy. An absolute masterpiece if you ask me.

Uncharted 2. It's amazing how just about every aspect of this game was so well-done. Dialogue especially was a dramatic improvement from the first one. Contrast that to FFXIII dialogue, which is just cringe-worthy at times.sky_rend

Uncharted 2 and Batman:AA ,but I would like to mention Nier because this game has been overlooked and I want to say it's SE's best game this gen honestly....the dialogue and story it in is soooo good. I trashed the game at first and decided to buy it because I had really nothing else to play to hold me unto later this month, but I'm so glad I bought it. Easily one of the best action rpgs of all time. Edit: Also, the music is wonderful in Nier :P

looking at it in a 'for the time it came out' kind of context, gears of war was the first game that really showed what the new generation of hardware was capable of imo. it was also a totally rad game which was nice.

in terms of overall quality definitely mass effect 2 or uncharted 2

on a technical level i have no idea.. however i enjoyed too many titles to just mention one :) its quite difficult to pick one title..

(MGS4, Geow1&2, Uncharted 1&2, Heavenly Sword, GOW3, Forza3, LBP, KZ2, BF:BC, COD4, inFamous etc etc etc) imo these are all great titles..

Theres a few games which are all really amazing and i would find it hard to put them ahead of each other.

For any one game, I'd chose Fallout 3 personally (most appeal to me) but I think Metal Gear Solid 4 is the single best game this gen overall.

Runner-ups are Crysis and Uncharted 2.

Stalker. Uncharted 2 isn't even in my top 10 games of this gen. :lol:
