"The best game(s) of all time?"
...doesn't exist.
Everyone has a different opinion as to what they believe is the "best" and what is their "most favourite." Ask 5 different people from 5 variant backgrounds in gaming (i.e. one started on the Atari 2600, one on the SNES, one on the PS and one on the Xbox, etc.) and you will likely get 5 completely different answers. The SNES backgrounder will probably give you SMW, ALttP and Chrono Trigger; the PS backgrounder will give you FFVII, Chrono Cross and Vagrant Story; and the Xbox backgrounder will give you Halo, PGR and KotOR.
I started playing games on the SNES, and since then have played games on well over 15 platforms from various genres, including the PC. For me to break down my "favourite" games for all those platforms, and to give you a list of the games I believe to be the "best" (until I've played every single game in existence, I could never make this conclusion) would take up so much of my time, and be so incredibly long... you wouldn't even bother reading it.
"Best" ironically, is an opinion, like everything else when it comes to gaming. There can be no "objective" best game out there. Ocarina of Time, Final Fantasy VII and Super Mario Galaxy... no matter how much you beg, plead, assert and force... can and never will be the "best game(s) of all time." There is no such thing. No human being can have the time to play every single game to ever be made (plus, they can in no way keep up with all the games released today, nor is it possible to "stop" getting new games for evaluation), nor can they be trusted to make a completely unbiased and objective conclusion based on what they play.
We all have our "favourites," and games we believe to be "the best," but when it comes down to it, all it ever is, is an opinion.
