ok, so name one (or few) of the worst scored games that you have enjoyed.

first game that i can think of, is Dungeon Master II for PC, wich scored a whopping 5.0 at Gamespot. i really enjoyed that piece of turd :(

second one would be Postal 2, that scored a ground-shaking 4.8. also here, at Gamespot.

now, it's your turn!

Oh my, I had no idea Dungeon Master 2 scored so low. Im from Czech and here it was absolutely critically acclaimed by critics when it was released. There was no internet back then so I didn read reviews from other countries. Its also one of the best RPGs I have ever played... ever. Giving it 5/10 is wrong.

Sid Meier's Pirates! on Wii got a 6/10. They stated unresponsive controls in the mini-games. Seeing as I have gotten countless perfect mini-game scores, they obviously didn't give the game the time of day to figure out that you're supposed to move on "Go".....

Kane and Lynch: Dead Men. I loved it and thought it was a fantastic successor to Freedom Fighters.

And The Punisher on the PS2. That game was so flipping awesome. I must have dropped over thirty hours in it just because it was so much fun :D
The Darkness was an awesome extention of the formula presented in The Punisher and I can't wait for The Darkness 2!

I love The Punisher! Only played it recently but it was surprisingly good for a randomish PS2 game. Love the different executions, take that you scumbags 8)

Infinite Undiscovery, I really enjoyed it more than the reviewer did. Although I still think the name of the game is one of the worst in recent history.

I thought Lost Planet 2 on PC was a bloody fantastic game. Only a 7.0 here, but I think the consoles scored worse.

I agree with the Gamespot comment, but Mass Effect 2 is one hell of a game. As a game, I guess I like Mass Effect more, but there was something deeper in NIER in my opinion, which ultimately makes it harder for me to choose. Some of the side quests in NIER were really well done (lighthouse for example). Gamespot wrote them off as fetch quests..

Mario Kart 64

Age of Empires

Mount and Blade: Warband

Serious Sam HD: First Encounter

Mario Party 2

Luigi's Mansion

Final Doom

I've found these games far more enjoyable than a lot of AAA rated titles today.

Dante's Inferno got a 6.5 on GameSpot, I liked it more than I liked God of War 3, gameplaywise, it was a great, challenging hack-n-slash beat-em-up game, and a lot of fun to play. Lost Planet 2 got a 5.5 on GameSpot, sure it was buggy :P and basically had a broken single player, but it's an excellent online co-op game, easy online matchmaking to find games to jump into, or create your own game for others to quickly join. Samurai Warriors 2 got a 5.4 on GameSpot, sure these games are basically all the same, with the same basic characters recycled between Dynasty/Samurai Warrior games and stories that deserve no attention, but I find the gameplay quite enjoyable from time to time. I really liked this installment in the series. Project Sylpheed got a 5.5 on GameSpot, I decided to try it anyways and I enjoyed it, maybe because I hadn't played a good space combat game in years. Plus it was cheap from its release, so not like it had a $60 price tag hanging over it. Just Dance got a 5.5 on GameSpot. I thought it was just another piece of shovelware, but one day I was visiting my parents and my sister had a copy of the game and she's like "you gotta play this with me"... and wow, I really liked it in fact, afterwards I got myself a copy and played it by myself and with my friends, quite enjoyable.

I liked it until like the last 3 levels... if you could call them that. before that i liked it as well. some really creative imagry, level design and whatnot. but the last three seemed painfully obvious like it was a "oh crap deadline. *****! ****! just slap it together!"

Yeah in terms of something deeper about NIER, for me, its a game where I kind of felt instant nostalgia when I finished it, and proceeded to feel it as time went on. Usually I only feel it for older games, and pretty much have not felt it for any games this gen, but whenever I remember scenes from the game, and listen to music from it, it always instills all kinds of emotions that no other game has really been able to do the same way.
