I enjoyed the sniper from the first F.E.A.R.
There's just something so rewarding about leaving a room full of smoldering skeletons.
I like sniper rifles that don't move when zooming in (like in Halo)
I know it's unrealistic, but I just hate having to hold your breath or constantly fixing its aim.
The sniper from Gears of War one (non-active) is up there for me. Also, who doesn't love the AWP from CSS :P
Someone mentioned that laser gun thing from FEAR1, that was pretty sweet, just melted all the flesh right off. :P
If we're talking a sniper though, I kind of have a soft spot for the Gears of War sniper since you stay zoomed in and see the head literally explode. Now that's a good time!
Team Fortress 2 Sniper, i know its unrealistic but it gets the job done and its much more easier to use
I like the sniper in TF2, seem to be able to get alot of kills with that.
I love the sniper rifles in Halo : Combat Evolved, they're just so easy to use.

That is based on a 20MM round (around double the size of a .50 cal.), the rifle is called NTW-20, a huge rifle, around 6ft long.
Never been a sniper enthusist but I'd like to say the Sniper rifle from Resistance is my favourite. Not the actual Sniper Rifle itself, more the fact that it slows down time which is pretty cool. Bottom line is that I have the most fun using this Sniper Rifle.
The PTRS in Cod WaW only in singleplayer though, exploding heads is awesome, as is blowing off arms and legs with it, plus it has a weird but cool clip placement so a cool reload animation. bobbetybob
Isn't the PTRS an anti-tank rifle? If so that's cheating .
[QUOTE="markop2003"]The sniper sight attached to any gun in Crysis is the best IMO, the assault rifles and SMG are the best dsgsdfgf
The gauss rifle with sniper scope is awesome as well.
That makes it far too easy, it's much more satisfying getting a silenced headshot with an SMG at 400 yards[QUOTE="bobbetybob"]The PTRS in Cod WaW only in singleplayer though, exploding heads is awesome, as is blowing off arms and legs with it, plus it has a weird but cool clip placement so a cool reload animation. Yeah it is, but the Barrett is as well most of the time, that's what makes them so much fun to use on people =p And I do find that a bit weird how it can't injure a tank even though it's an anti tank rifle, it'd be a good use for it considering how overpowered tanks are in the game.best sniper rifle was the one in call of duty 2, you didnt even have to be aimed at the guy to him them, just aim close enough!!!!!!! heat seekign bullets or something!!!

I think you would need alot more firepower to dent any of the tanks in that game. I havn't really played much of WaW, but the PTRS is used in other games, and it's totally awesome, but realistictly I doubt you could run around with it very easily. Not sure how it's used in WaW though.

Same way the Barrett is used in CoD4, you run around with it like it were as light as any other gun in the game, the only drawback of both of them is they have lots of recoil. The tanks in the game are ridiculously overpowered as well, so it would've been nice to have had one more way to at least injure them, even if it was unrealistic. Please Log In to post.
