The best system for DL Games

Since the battle wages on between which next generation system has the best retail games, and it appears to be the defacto rule that Download games do not count in the count for AAAAe, AAAe, AAe etc. I figured we need a topic to hammer on that focused on games available on XBLA, PSN and Wiiware.

Which system do you feel has the best line up of DL games so far this generation?

PS3 has alot of more Artsy Games

XBLA has the most DL games

and Wii has alot of ollldddd olllldddd classics

XBLA is great, but the VC is quite overprices IMO.

However, the best is PC, you can play loooads of older games that you can get for free or a small price, and you there are loads of downloadable games, not to mention all those flash games.

XBLA by farrrrrr. The Last Guy is fun though, so PSN is taking steps in the right direction. Wiiware is just garbage to me, I really haven't enjoyed any of the games.Mau-Justice

Awww come on, VC Punch-Out is awsome, but yea aside from that VC gets very old very fast, and very expensive.

XBLA for sure. The only console you can get Bionic Commando Rearmed, Geometry Wars 1 & 2, Braid, Doom, etc.

And upcoming Mega Man 9, Duke Nukem 3D, Banjo Kazooie and Tooie.

This doesn't even include Xbox originals. Right now I have Fable and Ninja Gaiden Black.

I thought rearmed was on PS3 also. And isn't Geometry Wars available on other systems? I know it's on Wii. Mega Man 9 comes out on all 3 systems and your couple of PC emulated game pale in comparison to the VC library.

Yeah. How?

The correct answer is the Wii's downloadable service. Over 250 titles are available on the VC, many of which are the best games of all time. The WiiWare service is new but is picking up pace quickly with the original content on other consoles.

Although a lot of them are great I don't think they count as they are not wii games so I guess its only fair to only include WiiWare

If you're going to discount the VC because you can pirate games, you may as well disregard all the 360 and PS3 games as well. We're talking about legitimate purchases, not cheapskate pirating.

An easy one for me. I own all 3 system, and must say XBLA. Reasons are: Good games, original games, easy to find what you are looking for, online play is good for many of the games.

The PS3 would be ok, but not as orriginal, and I wish sony would start a game card like everyone else. Hard to give a credit card numbe as a CHRISTmas gift.

Wii. Not bad, and getting better. Issue is with storage, or lack there of as well as how it handles the SD cards. And not sure if they even have a downloadable game that is multiplayer.

It's the only console you can get ALL of those in one place. If you own multiple consoles/emulate then I'm sure you can get them all.

I have the Wii and 360...will someday get the PS3 so I can only make a biased decision here.

Between the Wii and the 360 I easily give it to the 360.

Castle Crashers and Braid being my most recent stand out addictions.

And so the story is for the PS3 itself. Sweet hardward, not as good a library.

xbl for sure braid, castle crashers happy tree friends as well as downloading full xbox games adds to that

XBLA is awesome.

But PSN isn't struggling with Tekken DR, GT:Prologue, Warhawk and WipeoutHD.

I think I've spent more time with PSN DL games, so I'll go with PSN.

If I'm not mistaken, it doesn't necessarily have to be illegal, and thus, I don't believe this is a matter of piracy. Then again, I'm not really an expert on international law, so it might vary from country to country.

EDIT: For clarification, I'm talking about emulation, and that, to the best of my knowledge, emulation is legal so long as you own the original.
