The Biggest /Hardest Debate Ever= Who Had The Best Libary, PS1 or PS2?

Lets face it, these 2 systems gave millions of ppl the best entertainment during thier eras. I meanif yourandomly pick5 PS1/PS2 games chances our atleast 4outa 5 you would like. Thewide rangeof games for these systems is just SICK. I always said PS1 was better than PS2 because PS1 lasted longer as i felt sequals were still fresh unlike PS2's.can anybodylook back at both system'sgames and debate which is better?

MGS1, Twisted Metal 1, Resident Evil, Tomb Raider, Gran Turismo(1 or 2), Final Fantasy 7, Silent Hill, Crash Bandicoot, Tekken, Tony Hawk, Silent Hill etc.

Some PS2 Hits( Just Naming Games)

Grand Theft Auto,Devil May Cry, God Of War, Smackdown( vs raws gamesuck though), Racthet/Clank, Socom, Jak/Daxter, Sly Cooper, Madden NFL, ICO(didnt sell well though), etc.

Can anybody decide a winner?

Also what are the chances PS3 will have that same sitaution?

PSone for me.

Favorite console of all time, bought a PS2 expecting the same and I was disappointed for the most part. Thats what influenced me most into getting a 360, if PS2 disappointed me and some consider it to have the greatest console library, why would it make sense to get a PS3?

As for my decision, jesus I'd have to go with Playstation, soooooo many godly games on one console (the N64 wasn't too shabby either.) Megaman Legends, Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, Parappa the Rappa, Tekken 1-3, Castlevania: SOTN, Mortal Kombat: Trilogy, MediEvil, Road Rash 3D, Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver, I could go on all night.

Black is underrated. Well, not by Gamespot (9.5), but by the general public. It was a launch game which is maybe why it didn't make the splash it should have.

Durned whippersnappers don't appreciate sprites. IN MY DAY we didn't have all of this new-fangled 3D..okay, so there was Starfox..and Quake, and that Stunt Race FX thing but you didn't have this new-fangled bump-mapping and normal-mapping and HDRerr whatever that is.

PS1 no doubt. Most of the big titles back than were revolutionary. All that 3D explosion, everything seemed new and different from 2D, so probably that is why i give my vote to PS1.

Final Fantasy VII is all I need to say.

PS1 definatly. FFVII, Tekken, Crash, Ridge Racer, GT, Jet Moto, Twisted Metal, Moter Toon Grand Prix, Resident Evil, Legend of Legaia, Legend of Dragoon, Bushido Blade, Tobal, Tomb Raider, Armored Core, Oddworld, Ape Escape, Spyro, Carnage Heart, Blasto, Rayman, and so much more!

There's just too many great games to mention its unbelievable.

The 5th generation was an unforgettable one. I don't know if there ever will be another like it.
