vita has touch screens that i can see be used to lob grenades and the triggers on top will work fine from what I see. It disgusts me people dont see the gravity of having call of duty on vita for the systemNo series stays on top and a multiplatform game is usually not a system seller. Also when it's a game about pulling triggers you probably want triggers.

If a person has access to a console system they will easily buy the console version since that will have superior multiplayer and they can easily play with their friends.
Call of duty wont do bad on the handheld but it wont "destroy" the 3ds as you claim
How can you be so sure the 3DS will never get a COD game? The DS had four of them, and there is no reason for Activision not to bring the series to the 3DS. Also, because the 3DS is comparable to the Wii in power, that means a 3DS Call of Duty will have a good chance of at least having the features of the Wii versions. That means Perks, Killstreaks, Custom Loadouts, several multiplayer modes, and the other stuff that can be found in COD games on the Wii.
And for the record, the 3DS can control COD just fine. All FPS games on the DS use the touch screen and face buttons and there is no reason not to think the 3DS can't do the same thing.
Mark my words, COD will come to the 3DS at some point in the future. Activision loves money, and the potential market of 3DS owners would be too much for them to pass up.
And while a 3DS COD won't be a pretty as a Vita COD, there is no reason not to think it will be gimped. Black Ops for the Wii had many of the same features that were found in the HD versions. If the 3DS is as powerful as the Wii, there is no reason not to expect the same experience.
The Biggest Reason the 3DS will destroy VITA is....
This particular Bundle doesn't exist but Both Games do Exist for the System. ;)
So why did COD sell so badly on PSP? Why didn't COD on Wii eclipse the other versions even though it has a bigger user base?
No, COD isn't even coming out for the Vita this year. They are simply "working" on it. Infact, I'd expect a 3DS version much sooner than a Vita version
I mean, its not like they've been making pretty good handheld CODs for the PSP the last 3-4 years, unlike how they have for the DS
No, people don't want to buy a handheld to play the same games they can on their big TVs. The 3DS will succeed by having unique IPs that have broad appeal and can only be found on 3DS literally and conceptually.
The Vita will be a "Me too" handheld that wants to be a home console just like the PSP, thus resulting in an identity crisis and confusing consumers as to what the reasons they should buy it really need to be.

Woah Woah is that logic you're using? Forbidden in SW.
Yea, I have no doubt COD comes out for the 3DS soon, and will probably be pretty good.
the psp control is not a console control, VITA has 2 analog sticks, simple as that, 3ds will have a COD but it will not be on the level of VITA. I think VITA will be able to match its console brothern as far as features to almost pure graphics, the 3ds tech cannot. The ONLY thing the vita is missing is triggers, and I can do without because i use L1 and R1 to control shots. i dont use grenades either. people who use grenades make me sick.So why did COD sell so badly on PSP? Why didn't COD on Wii eclipse the other versions even though it has a bigger user base?

That's also true, you're not even going to be able to play online using 3G (unless you fancy paying 6 billion dollars in network fees and playing with a ping of 8000), so the whole "OMG it's CoD but on the go!" doesn't really hold up since most people don't even play the single player. The only reason I play CoD is for the multiplayer and I would rather go to my PS3 for that.
This isn't a strong reason for why the PSV will destroy the 3DS since CoD is available on all systems
ZIVX
This is the most stupid reason someone would think that. CoD was on DS, will be on 3DS, and why would someone prefer playing it on handhelds when you can play them on consoles? Anyway, Mario and Pokemon destroy CoD in sales.
CoD is horribly overrated. Bf3 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> MW3.

Pokemon + Zelda + Mario + Samus + Smash Brothers >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> COD.
Specially in handhelds. They are really fun games to play while travelling. COD is a game aimed to be a MP game.

Good luck finding a copy of Master Quest in good condition on the web for $40. Ironically, OoT 3DS is $40, and it's better in every way. So yeah, I would. :)[QUOTE="DarkLink77"]

People are seriously naive if they think COD wouldn't help Vita sales and give Vita a significant advantage over 3DS. The fact you can play COD on other systems is irrelevent. Even if the 3DS gets COD, it's irrelevent . Vita would get the fully featured online enabled COD that provides the same experience as the console game. There's a massive difference between a COD game on 3DS and a COD game on Vita. People will go crazy for a fully featured online enabled COD on a portable. Only on Vita will that happen. Online gaming in general with all the social features will help it beat 3DS. 3DS wont have the online experience of the Vita, and I think that aspect of the Vita will be a real factor. A bigger factor than people realise.
Of course that alone isn't the reason Vita will beat 3DS. A better library of games in general and tons more features without being any more expensive than the 3DS is what will make it beat the 3DS. A big mass appealing game like COD is sure to help though and a XBL/PSN like experience on a portable is going to be a big factor.
There is no reason to not expect a repeat performance form these 2 like the last 2. Except Nintendo is noticebly on the up swing and Sony...let's not go there. TBH I do think COD will help it but I don't think it will make a big enough difference to say it will make the VITA destroy 3ds.
What makes a 'full' online experience on the 3DS impossible?People are seriously naive if they think COD wouldn't help Vita sales and give Vita a significant advantage over 3DS. Besides the fact that vita is offering a technically superior device at the same price instead of $100 more. There is no reason to not expect a repeat performance form these 2 like the last 2. I'm sorry but Nintendo has Pokemon, and Pokemon sells to casuals.

Right CoD, Ratchet and Clank, J & D, uncharted and LBP are very hard core indeed.
I never said they were/weren't...I'm just saying that casual players love Pokemon.

They're popular and they appeal to a wide audience, correct, BUT Mario Kart, Pokemon, Mario and the like have sold, just tons more than those games, simple as, and most parents are more likely to go "Oooh Mario" than "Oooh Uncharted!"[QUOTE="burgeg"]What makes a 'full' online experience on the 3DS impossible? The same thing that makes the Wii online experience unable to compete with 360 and PS3. Come on, we all know Nintendo aren't even trying to take the 3DS in that direction. It might be capable of online gaming, but so is the Wii. They're not aiming for a PSN/XBL service with the 3DS. Doesn't the 3DS still use friend codes? Vita also has the advantage of having a mic built in to it for communication, which adds to the social aspect of the online functionality. I don't believe 3DS has that. In short, 3DS online functionality is comparable to Wii. Vita is comparable to XBL/PSN. Don't expect many developers to make online a key feature in their games on the 3DS. Expect them to do so on Vita.People are seriously naive if they think COD wouldn't help Vita sales and give Vita a significant advantage over 3DS. Actually CoD and all FPS would control very well on the 3DS. I take it you have never played Metroid Prime Hunters on the DS to know what I am talking about. The touch screen works very well for FPS. With that said, I am still not getting a 3DS and will be getting the Vita. I might actually end up buying 4 vitas. Was considering getting my kids each a 3DS, but with the VVita costing the same, I think I will get them each a Vita as well as me and my girl each one. Can't see getting them each a 3DS when the games for Nintendo rarely drop in price while the Vita's games will drop in price.
The majority of consumers do not want handheld versions of console games. Look at why the PSP. The hardware was better than the DS just like the Vita>3DS in horse power. But the DS had games that were unique to it's hardware which offered new experiences. Why would someone pay another $250 for a handheld plus another $40-$50 for a game that the console they already own does better? If Sony is following the same formula they did last time they won't finish any higher than 2nd place once again this time around. But I can't wait to get my hands on one!GoldenElementXLNobody had a problem playing Super Mario on the Game Boy. This whole "People don't want console games on a handheld" thing is utter nonsense. What are the games people are looking forward to on 3DS? Mario, Mario Kart, Resident Evil, Zelda etc. All games you can get on consoles. People want console experiences on their handheld. They didn't have a problem with them on the Game Boy and they don't have a problem with it now.
But even that was true, Vita has plenty of unique games on it. Sound Shapes, Little Deviants, Gravity, Smart As to name a few. In addition the console like games now have unique Vita features on them like the touch functionality to make them differ from the console versions. At this point it's the 3DS that's full of the ports and unoriginal games, not the Vita. At the moment the only good games on the system are ports. The games on the horizon that look good are your typical Nintendo franchises you can get on consoles.
