That's what I was thinking, about a 6.

i hope for Wii owners that the conduit turns out to be a great game... FPS fans deserve a good shooter...

Graphically best FPS on the Wii, with fully customisable controls and HUD and they are working on the online stuff now, if they get the online stuff correct then the game should be pretty solid scoring.

Therefore, I will stand here now and state catagorically that the Conduit will score higher than 7.5 on GS (They score all Wii games badly in my opinion) and on Metacritic it'll have at least an 8.5 average.

I expect it to have an average of 8.8 when all the reviews are counted.

Not sure what basis any of you have for saying it's going to be an epic fail and score 6. There's no gounds for it and if you quote 'generic' at me please explain exactly what about it is generic except for it being an FPS because if that's the case then Halo3, Halflife2 and KZ2 are all generic.

*facepalm*...no. The conduit is no where near in comparison to KZ2, Half-Life 2 or Halo 3. It wont score as close.

oh and about the thing on the bottom of your sig, i wouldnt even bother about giving teletext(like wth are they?) any credit. Taking the lowest score review of a game and shoving it in peoples faces deosnt exactly do much. Maybe you can look at the other 91 reviews on meta.

Let's just say I wouldn't take GS seriously if they allowed the game to be outscored by the abomination that is World at War Wii.

I hope it does turn out good, I haven't bought a Wii game since Mario Kart and Im not interested in anything about (I dont think Mad world looks that good personally, will rent one day) but this does catch my eye and I do think the Wii can be brilliant with fps controls.

Actually, I'm only here for the news and forums. I used to take them more seriously, but that was a long time ago.

then you're missing out on some real gems. Of course, maybe alot of those gems don't fit your tastes(house of the dead, deadly creatures, and so on). I just opened up de blob today and i'm surprised at how interesting, different and fun it is! You should check that out if you've got any interest in platforming type games. Oh, also World of Goo if you don't have it on PC(i think it's chearper on wii).

I'm not sure what to think about the conduit. It sounds like the developers are really trying to do something special, and their success could lead alot of other developers to start considering the wii for a little more then cash ins. IGN and a few other sites have been hyping this alot, so i'm hopefully that there is a fair reason for that.. but as it stands, the conduit is just something i'm going to keep an eye from time to time.

The game looks terrible graphically: not just for a wii game (it doesn't look good for a wii game ffs) but for any game period. Mad world looked amazing graphically, so does little king story. This game looks graphically worse than almost every 1st party Nintendo game + many 3rd party efforts (de blob, mad world, Rayman series, little king story). I mean red steel looks better than this. I don't understand how this game is getting any hype though. It looks haze bad.

While it looks like nothing spectacular, good first person games are rare and the fact that the controls look implemented very well make me think that it will be a solid rent.

You need to read my original post and then rethink about your response, I simply imply that if being an FPS is generic on that basis all FPSs are generic including H3, HL2 and KZ2.

With regards to my signature it's designed to provoke commentry like yours. If you check out the Gamecentral reviews and scores they are actually incredibly well balanced and well scored. They are also based on 5 being a proper average rather than 7 as in a lot of situations. You may wish to quote a 10/10 score from OPS magazine at me if you wish but I would ignore that review the same as I would any review in ONM or OXM.

Hell no. Its going to really be mediocre.

Looks very average. Then again, Killzone 2 was average IMO. Single player was boring and multiplayer was fun up until you unlocked all the classes.

Do not even begin to compare Conduit to games like Crysis and HL2 though. There is no comparison, Conduit falls short on every front by a longshot. Even putting them in the same sentence is blasphemous. I know i know, i put them in the same sentence. You get the point though. Good for Wii owners, average for everyone else.

Looks like something I would have passed up in 2004.

I expect a Mediocre FPS like 90% of Wii games.Syferonik
