The minimum pc requirements seem to outmatch the specs of the consoles. An i5-2500 minimum? A hd 6870 minimum.

Ok maybe the ps4's gpu can is a bit better than a hd 6870 but i5-2500 murders the cpu in the ps4. The xboxone gpu's matches the hd 6870 at best and while the cpu is a bit better than the ps4's, it's still no match for an i5-2500.

I guess 1080p and 60 fps on the consoles will not be the case. They will actually be lucky if they get a steady 30 fps at 900 p, If they're lucky...

No reviews for this game yet and it comes out tomorrow....worrisome.

Thought about ordering this on steam today ... then noticed that. Will wait for the time being I think!

I'll "pre-order" sometimes on steam so I can download prior to release (and occasionally for goodies :P ), but I'm really wary about games with no reviews anymore. After the last year and a bunch of giant flops (plus a huge backlog and a kid) I'm happy to wait for pretty much everything bar the very very rare games.

Yeah I have a new baby, so time and money is precious lol. I hope this game is good though, it looks good.

Due to the shorted on the physical copies, the reviews will be coming out late is my best guess since I haven't seen any reviews yet but for me, I already pre-order the digital Xbox One version and this is pretty much an new IP despite it's the same developers that made Dead Island and not only that, Dying Light is current-gen and not one of those cross-gen games.

Oh gee another zombie game and this time the combat is centered around melee...fucking yuck, says I.

Not just an Xbox One, I also own PS4 and Wii U. though I got my PS4 since launch, got a Wii U last May with that Mario Kart 8 Wii U bundle, and I'm still new to Xbox One when I got it last November with that COD Advanced Warfare bundle.

I'm not a fan of the developer at full price. Will wait for select reviews before buy.

What is "arcade version" supposed to mean? That makes no sense whatsoever.

Supposedly the review copies were sent out very late. This is usually a terrible sign of shenanigans.

Haven't watched the whole thing, but from what I saw, Kevin seems to be having a good time, so I'm going out on a limb and buying it tomorrow.

These fake requirements need to stop.

My version (pc) certainly looks better than the video of gamespot, which was the ps4 version. That is if the video matched the source

Arcade version? I don't really get the sentiment. It's the same game just not quite as good looking. This is nothing new. Why does everyone act like it? The PC that is described in the minimum requirements is expensive...far more expensive than a $400 or $350 Console. This isn't rocket science. And the frames and resolution were already revealed; 30fps at 1080p. Which is fine.

Since there is no hype thread and no review............anyone else playing this? I am about a hour in and so far not to shabby.

I can't pick it up until Thursday personally. But can't wait to play it. I've been following it for a LONG time.

Yeah I don't know. Back in my day the Arcade version was the definitive version and the console versions were the gimped ones. It wasn't until the Dreamcast that the consoles were better.

I didn't do any night mission yet but so far the graphics are beautiful on the Xbox. Nice draw distance, effects and lighting. No complaints here!

Funny enough I also got a PS4 at launch(yes I spent 900 bucks on both consoles that month and around 300 in games, lol) and the Wii U 2 months after I got those consoles.

I have a comparable i5 to that (Ivy Bridge). It's a bit disconcerting that it's starting to show up in the minimal specs of games. I really like it too. I hope DX12 helps out in this area in the future. It would be a shame to have to even consider upgrading my CPU at this point.
