The Division PC max settings looks fugly!

Like the most insignificant, blandest and ugliest turd for an AAA ubi title. It's unfathomable how far off its graphics is downgraded from its initial unveil.

WTF happened lol? Meanwhile some first gen PS4 title kills them both.

I told people months ago that it got a downgrade but all the cry baby consolities said I was just peddling fiction. The denial of fanboys is strong.

Isn't this standard practice for Ubisoft? Release a dazzling reveal trailer that builds incredible hype then bring it all back down to earth with dull washed out graphics around launch time. Plus add some delays and just like that you got a multimillion seller. I wonder if Sony will go for the advertising exclusivity deal like Watchdogs.

I never understood blaming devs for downgrades. They had a vision for their game, they would have loved to deliver on that. Then, for one reason or another, they weren't able to.

If that's max settings on PC I dread to think how it'll look on PS4 and Xbox One.

I'd say good for MS but I really don't think that this will pull in the sucker purchases like Watchdogs did. The hype around Watchdogs was great. People are wary of what Ubisoft does now.

If it were from anyone else, maybe the backlash might not be as it is now. But its UBISOFT, they do this EVERY SINGLE GAME. Probably Ubisoft telling Massive to produce a trailer with all the graphical and technical whistles knowing full well that the end product will look nothing close liked that. People are sick with their bullshit.

So people had been waiting for this exact thing and pounce on them. I cant blame people for it.

The game looked stellar in the 2013 trailer and dare I say, one of the most good-looking game ever. Now it actually could be one of the worst looking game I've seen. It looks drab, uninspired, boring, bland and stale(at least from the screenshots I've seen). I've seen the beta videos and it looked even worse in motion. Its not only hugely downgraded, it actually look literally ugly. The winter settings doesn't help at all...

I don't see how this is the fault of the PC, and that just means the console versions will look fuglier. Regardless, should wait for the game to come out to start comparing graphics and performance

This game is Watch Dogs all over again. Wait a year for the PC mod community to fix it then wait to make conclusions about the graphics quality.

If Pc looks like that i can only imagine how terrible will be on consoles. But then again this is ubisoft so the big downgrade as well the initial overhype isnt that surprising. How do we know they are max settings? Does the beta even allow max settings? I bet it looks even worse on consoles.

Standard Ubishit protocol, I'm not surprised at all. I saw the downgrade coming since 2014 after I played Watch Dogs.. It seems they do this with all their games now.

Here is a link to the screenshots without having to look at the compressed and modified Gamespot uploaded images. It's a beta, and they look fine.

3. It actually doesn't look terrible from direct-feed screenshots. Just nothing groundbreaking.

Ubi doesnt make good games anymore... I have accepted this fact and am better for it....

If i remember correctly, The Division e3 2013 announcement trailer didn't mention the PC and fanboys were holding it up as some PC destroying graphics powerhouse. I'm sure TC was one of them

I'm still holding out for a couple of games.

1. The next Splinter Cell. Blacklist was no Chaos Theory, but it was still a good game. They've definitely earned my attention and I'm looking forward to seeing what comes next.

2. Ghost Recon Wildlands. Sure, it's not classic Ghost Recon, but it looks appealing so far. Unfortunately it's an open world Ubi game, which could spell disaster, but I'm not writing it off just yet.

Otherwise? Yeah, Ubishit. Mediocre at best is what I expect from most of their titles.

That looks completely underwhelming to be sure.

I still like splinter cell, but Blacklist has to be my least favorite in the series... It was just too all over the place and no michael ironside didnt help either...

they're screenshots someone took from the closed beta. But they've probably been compressed a number of times now (upload to imgur, then from imgur to GS), so much so that the afterburner overlay text is almost unreadable

Oh yeah, the lack of Ironside still stings lol. Not enough to truly weigh on my enjoyment of the game though. As long as the game is good I don't mind if they use text boxes for the dialogue.

Blacklist certainly wasn't the best in the series, but I did enjoy it far more than Conviction. It felt like a step back in the right direction if anything. Not sure how I'd stack it up against Double Agent. For now I'd say Blacklist was better, but I haven't played Double Agent in a while.

I do wish the Splinter Cell team would take a good long look at Chaos Theory and Pandora Tomorrow. Maybe try to understand what it is that fans loved so much about those games and strive for those qualities with their next entry.

If the next SC becomes an open world fetch quest I think I'll die.
