I cant even imagine how different this generation of gaming would be if we werent in a recession for the last few years. The downslide of the economy started in 2006, right around the time the next gen systems came out. Sales of systems, games. etc could be double, triple or who knows even 10x what it is right now if this were 10 years ago. Just something to think about, sucks too because all 3 systems are really good systems that may never see their potential because of people being tighter with their spending and less reluctant to spend that extra money for a system or a game..

Yeah man. I know, I for one would have bought more games if it weren't for it.

Actually this gen you will probably see the developers get more out of the systems than any gen before it simply because they aren't in a rush to bring out a new system. The current gen has to last longer giving the devs more time with the hardware. I think it's great.

The potential is better since there isn't a rush to release new systems. That was a concern of mine until MS said they didn't want to do that. This could end up being the greatest gen of all time honestly.

I think technologically this is the greatest gen ever. The hardware is fantastic (when it works microsoft) but the sheer amount of content made available by the tech is staggering. And with MS and Sony entering the motion control market, This gen may have actually just begun. (not really but it's far from being anywhere near over)
