Which game had a better ending ?
For me it was ME2 with suicide mission, because it isn't the same every time you play it and it is just totally epic.
RDR was spoiled for me. !

How was it horrible?Mass Effect 2's ending was horrible... I've only played like 2 hours of RDR, but most games have a better ending than ME2.

I'd say RDR.
You really got to know John throughout the game, and realized that he's just a person forced to do what he does because of his family being kept 'hostage'. He was a man who made mistakes in his youth and tried to change it, but now has to pay the price for them. I thought that it really showed how the world isn't black and white, just shades of gray. The ending showed the sometimes cruel reality that stories don't have happy endings.
Not to say that ME2's was bad, but you kinda got a sense of closure with RDR's.
Mass Effect 2's ending totally got me all amped up for the 3rd installment. It was just like 3 hours of constant climax :P
How was it horrible?
I just thought the boss was stupid. I mean a giant human thing? That needs humans? It's just kind of silly. I overreacted, but hey it's SW lots of people do that here.
Mass Effect 2's ending was horrible... I've only played like 2 hours of RDR, but most games have a better ending than ME2.

I prefer the closure in RDR. Though I think my favorite ending in a long time belongs to Shadows of the Damned.
RDR was probably the best ending to a game that I've ever played. It was extremely well done.
ME2 on the other hand... It was ok. Not much to it. A ho-hum ending to an otherwise great game.

How was it silly? I'm not understanding you.
It's a human reaper then needed to humans to work. Besides that was only one part of the ending. The whole choosing what person to do what job was also part of the ending.
Haven't played RDR much but ME2 had did'nt actually have an ending.
In fact, ME2 did'nt even have much of a story, the game is filler.
I wish RDR came out on PC, then I could actually play it. QQhexashadow13You have a PS3. What's stopping you?
That's a tough one but the final ending of RDR was just so classically western I absolutely loved it.
"Ending King"? It's actually come to this?
Really SW? :|:|

In all honesty, it's at least as releveant as every single console GFX comparison we've had.
Except for the dodgy SW relevance I guess.
and when did you become a women adobe?:P
...that avatar he has is a woman?
Yea the game progressed the main plot slightly. But the game was filled with tons of mini-stories (like a Tv episode) for each character that I thought were very interesting. It also introduced many cool new characters like Thane and The Illusive Man. I hope ME3 is really as engaging as Lair of the Shadow Broker. Very fun DLC and was cool reading the characters personal info afterwards even though some of it was sad.Haven't played RDR much but ME2 had did'nt actually have an ending.

I enoyed the game and it's story as a whole, it just did nothing to progress the overarching plot of the franchise.
I'f you've ever followed any long running anime series, you know why I call the game "filler".
Edit: Personally, I have a hard time crediting the game with much of a story at all to be honest. Don't get me wrong, it's well written... It just does'nt lead anywhere. "Gather a badass crew and go to town" litterally sums up the story arc of it.
Are you joking? Red Dead for sure.
ME2 had a cool ending, but the final boss kind of killed it and it wasn't a definitive ending. It was a cliffhanger for 3 so it just automatically is not as good.
The ability to have members of your team die and yourself as well is neat, but RDR's ending kind of beats out all of ME2's endings in my opinion. Its too beautiful and it just pulls John's journey together in a way that contrasts with normal "ride off into the sunset" Western endings. I'd go so far as to call RDR's ending the best ending in modern videogames.

You have a thread about "Gaming's Lady of the Generation." ...:?
The last like... 6 missions of RDR was obvious character development. I know they want you to establish some sort of bond with your family, but it just felt very "forced." I didn't really care for the ending all that much, mainly because I didn't really think the story in RDR was all that great to begin with.
As a huge gigantic Mass Efect fan who is completly biase..... I'm going to say....Red Dead redention. That was the deepest, most emotional game ending I ever witness. The only game end that comes close is Bayonneta and FF6. The "last boss" and start of the suicide mission was clearly rushed in ME2. As much as I fell ME2 is the better game, RDR has the better ending.
RAs Jango said, the last 6 missions in RDR were just character development and in fairness i can see why that made it that way. you dont see your family for 99% of the game, so adding in some character development before you kill off the main character is important..sts106mat
It is important, but they could have done it in a different way. They could have changed the story around a bit so that character development with the family could have came earlier. They also could have done it through flashback if they wanted. I felt like this was probably the worst possible way to handle the situation in terms of developing the family.
