The Fantastic Five. The five games you'd choose if you could never play another.

Okay your stuck on a desert island (that has all game platforms, unlimited power and the internet) and you only are allowed to take five games (this is typical when you are marooned on a desert island) what would they be?

Now consider you may not want to take your five favourite games, you may want a balance, there's no point having COD 4, Rogue Spear, Ghost Recon, Call of Duty and Medal of Honor. So consider what would get you through day after day, mood after mood.

1. Halo-It's hard to choose which one their all very good, in the end I might choose Halo 3 maybe with the rest of my life stuck on a desert island I might do something descent with forge. The I can has Recon!!!!
2. Age of Wonders-The original and my favourite, an individual game can take forever so it would be a brilliant time filler, plus it has to be one of my favourite games of all time.
3. Perfect Dark-NOT ZERO!!!! Brilliant game with a Halo and this I would get all the FPS I could ever desire
4. Super Smash Brothers-I've played them all but 64 is the only one I have played much of. It's hard to know whether it would be safe to say Brawl only to find out I prefer the original, in the end I'd probably take the risk and choose Brawl more stuff to do, meaning longer play time.
5. A MMORPG-The only thing you could play for the rest of your life and still never finish, I'm ashamed to say the only one I've ever played much of was Runescape when I was younger, I probably wouldn't choose Runescape though. I've never played WoW but I'd have to say it would be a tempting option, many people consider it the best of the genre and at least it would provide a way to communicate with the outside world.

Enough about me, what would you choose?

4. Company of Heroes

5. The Witcher

If it's going to be for life... Might as well go WoW with lifetime subscription, and expansions.

If not then:

1- Counter-Strike Source or 1.6
2- Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time
3- Team Fortress 2
4- Call Of Duty 4
5- Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles In Time

All time would be so damn hard. So I am going to stick with my top 5 this gen

1- Metal Gear Solid 4- Amazing story/presentation, exceptional audio, fun gameplay, excellent boss fights, and nostalgia up the yin yang. LOVE IT

2- Grand Theft Auto 4- Huge Sandbox fun, Best narrative in franchise history, pretty fun MP, great characters, lots of variety, living breathing city, and all in all improved gunplay

3- Super Mario Galaxy- Nice artsty1e, Great level design, creative and refreshing, rewarding, perfect challange, the best 3-D platforming gameplay, and nostalgic pure Platforming feel. Oh and the Lovely Mario Themes makes you forget Mario is the whore of the industry.

4- Crysis(on High)- Beautiful Visuals, Technology based gameplay, Nice blend of SANDBOX+ Shooter gameplay, Nice powerups, Good AI and Good pacing. Alien part=OFF THe CHARTS VISUALS.

5- Halo 3- Good campaign, ton of content. 4 player coop, splitscreen coop, Forge, Theatre, Metagame, Skulls, and Bungie Community interface. Tons of hours for my online FPS

1- empire earth

2-civ 4

3-mario all stars

4-perfect dark n64...if im with friends/ golden eye 007 solo

5-BF3 if its like bf2 with 2142's squad system

1,2,4 and both the bf i stated have had well over 300 hrs on

no flash in the pan games if its going to be the last and only games

TES3: Amazing game, just an all around fascinating game.
SoaSE: It takes forever to finish even small map games.
Civ4 with expansions: Do you really need an answer?
MGS4: I haven't played a more immersive game this gen
Persona 3: FES: No explanation needed.

This is all about longevity, so I guess that rules out my favorite adventure games.

In no particular order.

1. Half-Life (amazing mods, there are literally dozens of mods that are all fantastic in their own right, and of course, there's Counter-Strike)
2. Half-Life 2 (same as above, just with different mods like Insurgency and Minerva)
3. Rome: Total War (long campaigns with every faction, great mods available)
4. Civilisation 4 ("Just one more turn")
5. Warcraft 3 (I'll try to not be terrible at it, there's also dozens of great mods here too, CTF FTW).

1. Turtles in time (this game never grows old)

2. Super Mario World (best game of all time)

3. A random Final Fantasy 6-10

4. World of warcraft + tBC + WotLK (if thats allowed)

5. Warcraft 3 (custom maps and online, could be replaced by some other rts :) )

This is in no way my favourite games of all time...or well not the last two atleast XD guess Diablo 2 could make it on the list aswell instead of warcraft 3. Also Super Mario world could be replaced by Super Mario All Stars. Guess I could manage with just having FInal Fantasy VI to X and replay those over and over aswell XD

boss fights are epic in wow that the console sheep needs to experience

world pvp in wow is not balanced but hella fun

i used to think that jrpg's like FF and DQ's were the best in the genre till i played blizzards masterpiece that feels like a living breathing world

The Metal Gear Solid 3 and 4 : While 1 and 2 are also amazing, 3 and 4 had the most powerful story, and the best gameplay.

Final Fantasy 7 : To date, my favorite and the best RPG out there. I still find the Materia Junction feature in that game to be one of the best gameplay mechanics ever.

Super Smash Bros Melee : Yes, you heard me, Brawl doesn't quite do it for me. Something magical about Melee that made it my favorite Nintendo game of all time.

Unreal Tournament 2004 : Best FPS deathmatch ever. Just hope you don't have lag.

All i need is Brawl and CoD4 in my opinion the 2 best games ever made but ill try to name 3 more
