Why? because its actual fighting, no buttons required.

Okay, I'll humour you.
Without an actual controller, you can't do such things as: negative edging, other high level techniques such as plinking, and doing certain attacks would either be too easy (resulting in a rather broken-in-a-bad-way type of game) or be impossible.
You won't be able to have the pacing of a fighting game such as, say, Guilty Gear, and mechanics in said game would be rather hard to do, such as bursting for instance.
why not pretend, blocking is your high level attack as well as leveling up to knock someone out with one punch, and fainting, bobbing and weaving as your special attacks?Okay, I'll humour you.

No. Reviewers were all playing the game wrong. It's one of the most underrated games ever. I wanna play it some more but damn it takes a toll on my body.Did this game get a 3.5
I dont think we need SF fanboys to explain why it's bad.

Because those would count as basic moves. Blocking as a high level attack? Wut?
Leveling up to know someone out? again, Wut?
Sure, I guess dodging could count as a special move, but on the original topic, it just couldn't compete with other fighters. Espcially with the likes of Hnk, Guilty Gear and King of Fighters. In that sense it still lacks a tremendous amount.
And competition wise, I dont see it going anywhere.

you can't compare a button based game to a motion based game based on moves, because you defeat the purpose of a motion based game... the motion controls are the bread and butter of the fight lights out, just like button mashing and special attacks are the bread and butter of button based fighters, which one is better is up to you but one thing is for sure, punching some guys head you dont even know online in 3D space beats buttons, not by my much thoughMotioned controlled fighting games simply lack the precision or speed to accurately recreate a thrilling fighting experience.
Join a boxing/martial art class for a much better experience. Or if you're anti-social, get a cheapo punching bag and wail on it from the comfort of your own home. Just don't waste money on stupid fighting games for Kinect, Move, or the Wii...

And don't say "button based" fighting games have button mashing as a bread n' butter. You really don't mash unless a move calls for it, or its for some other requirement.
And if you don't want them compared, don't say
"its actual fighting nio buttons required
that fact alone blows away all the competition"
saying it "blows away all the competition" puts it up for comparison.
Why? because its actual fighting, no buttons required.

It's not "actual fighting" unless you can be hit. From the OP, I assume you've never been in one. Keep it that way, please.I would rather be pressing buttons than to punch at nothing in the air looking like some guy escaped from a mental hospital.funsohngSo pro boxers are escaped mental patients? Ever hear of shadow boxing? It's their's and Martial artists main practice drill. Why are so many people afraid of what they may be judged to look like when using Kinect, or motion controls period? Are gamers that insecure?
