You won't get dizzy actually playing the game. It's due to the fact you are watching a small screen with lots of rotational movement surrounded by other objects. On a television your only reference point would be the tv the game is being played on thus vertigo wouldn't be an issue.

No previews thus far have said anything about dizzines being an issue.

Gangans

nice post, anyways i din't get dizzy and this game looks great.

Lets play Hide and Seek!!!!! * True next gen game play* Looks good but it'll be dumbed down so the grandmas can play it too. nikolajz1

*sigh*

That's how Mario has always been. What's 'next gen gameplay'? Machine guns?

What really bad looking 360 or PS3 games are we talking about here?

I'm guessing Gun on the 360.

"AAA"..that game is going to be great. I don't think I want to play it /w the nunchuck controller though, but games that I wouldn't have expected to play so well w/ it have surprised me.

I dont get why the video is in HD. The game isn't even in HD, so why should it matter whether the video is HD or not. Im confuzzled.

EDIT: Are Sheep serious? I know it is Mario, but I'm not really sure what Mario's appeal is anymore. Like with the Zelda franchise, Nintendo can't really seem to get out of it's own way and start taking their franchises more seriously. The first few minutes of Zelda have you herding goats, and the first few minutes of SMG has you chasing around rabbits, then molesting them (seriously, watch Mario's arm and the rabbit's reaction). To be honest, SMG looks like a poor platformer, and Portal seems to be much better and much more fun.

HD is the quality and size of the video in GT's terms. Not the output. Right, what would taking things "seriously" mean? I don't recall any other Zelda game with you herding goats at the start, nor any Mario game with your catching the rabbits during the tutorial. Does having animals at the start of a game mean the developer isn't taking it seriously? And what are you basing the "poor" platformer assumption on?

It's more along the line of old heroes doing mundane tasks. It's like having an elite commando, who has proven himself capable of amazing feats of heroism, relegated to things like babysitting a poodle. It's stupid and doesn't have a point in the overall scheme of the game.

And I'm basing the poor platforming assumption on what I've seen so far of videos and what I have read. You just jump around. Haven't seen how the Wiimote makes the gameplay any better either. IMO, Portal looks remarkably fresh and innovative, as does LBP. Mario's gameplay looks dated. And "gravity" as a complex and amazing gameplay mechanism is a joke.

TP made sense, a lot of sense. At the beginning of that, Link was a farmboy, I'm sure such mundane tasks as herding goats would have been a regular task in his schedule. And Mario, well, the rabbit catching is likely a throwbaack to to SM64. As for it not looking like good platforming, well I can't argue that, it's your opinion, I think it looks to be a superb game. Portal, yes that's certainly looking great too. I don't think LBP is nearly as innovative as some people claim, not that I think it'll be bad, I think it looks like great fun, but it's a standard enough level editor, but with a huge amount of options. More of an evolution I would call it ten an innovation. Real innovation is just about impossible to find thes days, on any console.

I see your point, and in the end, it's really a matter of choice. My tastes in games have changed. I'll always remember my times with Mario and Co, and I thank and credit Nintendo for getting me into gaming in the first place, but my tastes have changed. Mario, Zelda, those old characters, they really just don't appeal to me anymore. I know people will love this game, but nostalgia can only take me so far these days.

um yeah actually it does if there's a few platformers that are out this year that are AAA then its chances of winning best platform decrease's but if its like this year were there are no AAA platformers and very few AA then its chances of winning are way way greater it can get a 9.0 and easily win best platformer

So he (and you?) are admitting the Xbox 360/PS3 games in general look more appealing (as in more inviting, more fun to play) than Wii games? Knew it all along. Sheep love graphics.

Jesus...

Who doesn't want better graphics? I'm sure all sheep would enjoy better graphics, myself included. But the Wii has good enough graphics and the wiimote makes it even more appealing along with a strong 1st party and a growing 3rd party.

Way to take nothing and twist it into to something...

He's right, this art styl.e is amazing and makes it look as good as 360/PS3 games. It even makes some 360 games look bland.

What the..... pretty sure you were being sarcastic. At least I hope you were. As for the game, looks like fun.
