The "flop" that came out on top

If TLOU becomes GOTY, it means that a "flop" (not my words because its a 95% on Metacritic) on the PS3 is still better than all other games released on the PC, 360 etc this year.

I wonder if the people that kept spamming 8/10 are now going to spam GOTY???

That logic is flawed on so many levels. You dont know the methods they used to determine that. It could be most hyped/played game on that platform for all we know, in which TLOU would win.

Doesnt mean it is better than GTA5 as a whole or on both platforms.

My guess would be either AC4 or GTA5.

If a Flop gets GOTY Lemmings should be ashamed, but then again the 360 had virtually no exclusives this year or the past few so it's not like it has much to compete with besides multiplats. Nah. For it to flop and then get GOTY is epic ownage. Not only that but it would crown PS3 as system of the gen.

PS3 has such high standards at this point. 8.0 is like a 11/10 on most other platforms.

don't mind if I just laugh at the patheticness of using GOTY as ammunition. it will sit on peoples shelves collecting dust only to probably be played 1 or 2 more times for "the hell of it" later.... meanwhile people put hundreds of hours into many games that offer more.

and no, not because of time.... but because well.... they arn't just a corridor movie wannabe game... they are actual games.... with either competitive nature or are compelling enough to be played for 100s or 1000s of hours.

flop doesn't say anything about the quality of the game, it just means it didn't meet the hype.

because this is system wars, and that is a flop in system wars. But once again, flop does not mean it's a bad game
