The Forza 3 demo is terrible

Poor graphics with jaggies and low res textures poor sound and music bad handling of cars, they seem to float around the track with no feedback or response. I agree with Top Gear here, very bad handling. Lack of weather really hurts Pre order cancelled, I'll wait for GT5, this game is a lot worse than Forza 2, I expect review scores around the 70% mark. Really bad racer, worst this year.Nick_581

First you don't even have a 360 I bet, and second the graphics are a lot better then GT5p. Oh enjoy playing your bumper Cars. Oh and the handling is great I don't know the game you played but from the ten races Idid the cars do handle very good. You can feel the weight of the car as you go in the turns.

The Demo was fantastic and the new highly stylized menus are very nice as well.

It was a nice touch actually, it give you that feeling that he is Nintendo fan instead of a cow and denotes certain wisdom...on the other hand, every single word he wrote scream "COW" and FLAME BAIT, so the avatar is usless actually.

i would agree with u but ima give credit when credit is due and forza3 is sick as hell. this free demo is as good as the $40 gt5p demo. im a mild racer game fan and im glad this game is coming out this year because gran turismo already disappointed me twice recently first it was with gtpsp and now gt5 coming out next year announcement. i just dont understand why they take forever to release the game and waiting doesnt pays off, gtpsp is the example

I wish this thread could be made into a video clip so it could be shown on G4's Epic Fail segment.

I just played the demo and I am impressed with what I played. The cars actually seemed to have weight to them as evidenced from the compression and decompression of the suspension and shift in weight as you over-steer or under-steer and responds to even the smallest movement, whereas in GT the cars only seem to slide around a bit and smoke the tires and appear very stiff in that respect. When you collide with another car there is consequence. You'll be fishtailed or be forced out of control if you try to ease your line by grinding up against another car and the physics of the impact is pretty impressive as well.

I've always stuck to Gran Turismo since it started, and this is the first Forza game I've really had a chance to play (played 1 lap of a race in FM2) and they have outdone what GT5P has done in much shorter time relative to the release dates of their feature titles. The visuals are outstanding with the environments we've seen and playedso far are looking much more impressive than those that we've seen in GT's latest incarnation. The car models standout and easily stand up to those in GT5 with GT's car models only being marginally better and when damage is factored in, there is just no contest right now. PD has their work cut out for them.
