Not the game itself, but after watching the long ass movie on it the idea behind the game.  The way they are trying to put the gamer in an emotional state.  Games have always catered to certain emotions.  Mostly anger, fear, or happiness and for the most part felt one at a time.  But by trying to unlock the emotion of love you pretty much open up every emotion you could ever feel.  Those of you out there that have been truely in love know what I mean.

If this idea is molded and crafted into a great game, with great graphics, story line, and gameplay it will totally change the way we play games.  Just like a good movie or book can change a life.  Games will start to head this way, and open up an untapped resource of gaming.

I think Peter is doing something with Fable 2 that could change the way we make, play, and feel about games forever.

I've gotten way to jaded over his past BS to get hyped over anything peter does. If you think a virtual pixel dog following you around and showing you were to go will 'unlock the emotion of love' your delusional..And really, thats all his shown so far

Did you not read the post? I don't give a damn about fable 2, just the idea behind it. I don't know what will unlock the emotion of love. All I know is thats is a smart move and should have been done long ago.

Scripted-Love. No offense but that's a BAD idea.
And they better change the "dog as UI" too, that's another seriously bad idea.

After seeing their test video, it already looks like they're going with the same art style as Fable 2. That's not very immersive in my opinion... I was hoping for something more.

Fable let me down big time, Peter was full of these big ideas and they were great but the game was crap, i gave up and couldn't be bothered with it, i didn't even care for it and i love my rpgs but pefer the jrpgs tho. So i'm not going to get pumped about fable 2 but will keep a eye on it incase he gets it right second time round.

The point is, Fable 2 and idea behind the dog is a gimick, emotion? I find things like a very envolved character dying with dramatic music in the backround, problem with games like Fable/KOTOR ect is that you cant have that emotion because your character is well trying to be a "Window of you" and it fails compared to say FF - Playing Cloud when Aeris dies ... its completely different, that developer saying story isnt important ... a story sets you up for the emotion.

Some 3D realistic Tamagotchi acting as my target window/item finder isnt going to make me upset when it dies il just be like "Oh great tedious resussurection time" or however they deal with it.

Trying to love an AI? no. His opinion on emotion is quite disturbing tbh.

Wow... this shifted from a praise to the inclusion of love into a game, and how if done right, love would be something great added to gaming... to how much that game is either going to suck or be good.

Sadly, no developer in the world has the capabilities to program the extremely HIGH amount of complexity in human emotions. Especially love. While it would be cool to see if it can be pulled off... Peter is shooting for the moon again if he thinks he can pull love and family off in a video game.

If you had watched the Video with the dog, he has already began to implement his ideas in to the game. I think he will get it right this time around. I bet most of you have not watched the video. He is trying to make you feel love for this virtual dog in the game, and I think he will do a good job of it. For those that have watched the video, I don't think I am the only one that felt bad when he ran away, leaving the dog to limp and try to find his master. What he is doing is trying to bring the emotion into the game, and I think from what he has shown, that he is doing well. Yes I know he didn't deliver in Fable 1, but from the looks of it, he will deliver in Fable 2.

Fable was their first ever RPG, they had other priorities, and still produced a 8.6 game, with a HUGE ammount of fun in playing it

The game will be AAA to AAAA, mark my words

I like the fact that Peter isnt going around saying "fable 2 will do this and fable 2 will be the best ever" and such.

He seems really humble this time around, like he just wants to make a good game.

You all need to get off SW and find a girl. I feel real bad for the lot of you to blind to see the real message behind this post.

Love in games is like love in movies, not always good or appealing unless sex is involved, and Fable covers that :)

I like the fact that Peter isnt going around saying "fable 2 will do this and fable 2 will be the best ever" and such.

He seems really humble this time around, like he just wants to make a good game.
