At Gamescom Sony announced it had seen over one million pre-orders for PlayStation 4. This announcement was seen by some as an attempt to spark Microsoft into revealing its corresponding figure for Xbox One, but Spencer declined to go into detail.

"What we're seeing in the pre-order numbers is the overall value of what they get in Xbox One," he told Eurogamer. "I feel really good about how things are trending."Spencer said the Xbox One's all-in-one proposition will help convince gamers of its value when push comes to shove and both are on shop shelves this Christmas. "People see a box that has the gaming stuff, a great lineup of games, and a commitment from us that great games will continue to come.

Apparently pre-orders for the xbox one are doing very badly, look at how MS dance around the pre-sales topic and refuse to answer and basically say something that make no sense.

This is the same company that each month parade that the xbox 360 has months and months outselling the PS3,by MS words alone you can confirm how sad things are going for the xbox one,and everything does point to a world wide PS4 domination this gen.

Xbox 360 continues to maintain its lead in the U.S. console market. Xbox 360 sold 107,000 units, more than any other console in the U.S., making July the 31st consecutive month Xbox 360 was the best-selling console in the U.S.

Look at how different MS wording is when they are clearly winning, contrary to what Amazon, gamestop and several retailers show that the xbox one is not very hot pre-order wise in non of its biggest markets like US and UK so you can only imagine how much sadder it most be on mainland EU where the xbox brand is not as strong.

the problem is you are stating your interpretation as a confirmed fact.  Which it isn't

MS isnt duty bound to release this information, Sony done it and because MS declines thats instantly bad only in SW do we see such silly logic.Think its much more wise to wait til November and see how both consoles do when they launch and what reception they will get at launch. I remember the insane amount of boasting by cows pre -ps3 launch and wow how the tables turned and it seems you lot still aint learned the lesson.

The only desperation I see in this thread is the op's desperation that people pick the PS4.
