F Zero GX is the best arcade racer of all time. The sense of speed in this game is amazing. Losing in a grand prix? Kill the other guy so he can't get any points. Need some more speed? Boost power comes directly out of your health gauge. High risk, High reward.

Watch this very tense video of the last story mode chapter. 1000 km/h, and if you fall off you have to start over.

Nintendo, F Zero ZX with 30 man online races. Pleeeeease.

Wipeout just seems sloppy compared to this game.

I've alays preferred the Tokyo Extreme Racer series of racers - F-Zero was honestly too punishing for me.

I love this series and the previous one, sure, it was hard as hell, but who cares, it was fun.

Come to 3DS at least please.

Oh and I was thinking about Woody Woodpecker's Racing... that game was the ****!!!

I don´t really know F-Zero that well,but I do know a lot about Wipeout and it seems to me(and judging by the video you posted)that the "driving" in wipeout seems to be a lot more technical.

Also,it´s not 1000mph racing,it´s kph,and in that regard,wipeout in phantom is just as fast.

You mention the graphics as well,and I feel that Wipeout in general looks better in terms of detail. In the video you link,the background seems to be a bit empty.

Also,I´ve seen some other F-Zero videos and the track designs seems in general to be much simpler,whereas in Wipeout they are usually a lot more technical.

I feel that Wipeout is the better franchise,but since I know very little about F-zero,you can take that statement with a grain of salt:P

I loved F-Zero andI'd love a sequel but I can't agree with ti being the best racer ever. I prefer circuit racing with cars on roads though so my preferences don't swing towards futuristic/unrealistic space race type games.

Still, out of those, F-Zero certainly got the most hours out of me :)

First release a new Star Fox & the god forsaken Pikmin 3 first, then I'll wait for F Zero.

Honestly, I just don't feel F Zero on the Wii. I'd rather like to see it on the 3DS instead.

Unfortunately its probably not going to happen. It won't be F-Zero if its not ridiculously hard, and it won't sell well if its not accessible, and Nintendo won't make it if it can't be accessible.

well always found the wipeout series to be better... from gameplay to visuals to obviously the music & slick presentation...

Hopefully we'll get a 'proper' Wipeout title for PS3..

IMO Fzero X for the N64 was my favourite- had more dangerous courses and the sense of speed was more thrilling especially when you had very little energy left.

The breaking trakc records in the race course Silence track in Jack division is unreal.

since we are talking about futuristic hover games for their respective platform.

Quantum Redshift was definately up there with the sensation of great speed and some nice road textures- however wasn't as popular.

+I think was the fastest hover car game of it's time especially in RedShift class

+Nice presentations

+able to upgrade sheilds, weapons and boost time

+4 player split screen

-boring generic characters

-not enough liveliness in the environment making racing the tracks a lonely experience

-un inspired soundtrack

-all the vehicles were mostly the same

-The weapons were not distinguishable enough

It was developed by Curly Monsters and didn't really sell that well considering it was the best Wipeout/FZeroesque series on the Xbox.
